I grew up with dogs and could not wait to have my own. I now have a 2 year old german shepard who is well socialized and loves to run with other dogs and will tire them out to the point where they just want to nap for the day. Exercised dog is a happy dog, which means a happy owner! Can also take pups for longer walks and play fetch for hours until they are tuckered out. If I have to tire out a german shepard, most other dogs will be much easier. I spend about 2 hours at the park in the morning and try for another hour of activity in the evening and would gladly add another dog to our morning routine when most people are already working.
