***I have been fully vaccinated, but I am happy to still wear a mask for your comfort during meet and greets. Hi! My name is Marissa and I love animals! I know that’s what most Rover profiles say, but for me it’s true! Growing up I was always “that girl" in the neighborhood who would watch the everyone’s cats, dogs, fish, and hampsters. During the pandemic, when I started working from home, I started using Rover and Wag! part-time and it has been the best decision I’ve ever made. I also help to foster for a rescue that saves dogs from kill shelters in the southern states. I have experience with cats, dogs, fish, birds, and other small furry creatures. I am familiar with giving medication orally and/or through injection, have worked with animals of all ages and temperaments, senior animals, and animals with disabilities or special needs (deaf, blind, etc.).

Marissa was wonderful with my 2 cats, including easily giving my elderly kitty her daily medication. She gave me daily detailed updates and photos, especially in regards to appetite and medicine. I felt at ease while away knowing Marissa was there to care for them. Marissa is excellent and treated my 2 like they were her own!
As always, Marissa did an awesome job taking care of our two cats. She is so wonderful to work with! Highly recommended!
Marissa was wonderful with both my cats. It takes a while for a little girl to warm up to people, but Marissa was able to pet her the first day that she came to watch them. Marissa was great at communicating with us every day and sending us pictures and telling us how the cats are doing. That is so much appreciated. I would recommend Marissa to anyone she is a wonderful person, and really cares about animals
Marissa was wonderful (again) in watching our cats. She was super attentive and kept us up to date with adorable photos, and even holidays-themed pics on Xmas day. Can't recommend her enough.

While it’s rare that an animal dislikes me, I do require a meet-and-greet with all new clients. before a new service to 1) make sure I’m a good fit for your pet and 2) learn all about them and their routine. For new boarding or doggy daycare clients I do require a trial stay to make sure the experience will be comfortable for your pet. All boarding and doggy daycare dogs will be limited to one or two rooms under my supervision and crated for their safety when I do not have the ability to supervise them directly. For this reason, I only allow dogs that are crate trained. When caring for pets, I want to keep their environment and routine as normal as usual. During our meet and greet I’ll work with you the pet owner to figure out what works best on a case-by-case basis. Your pets are your family and I’ll always treat them like they’re part of mine.

Availability
***Please refer to my calendar for updated availability – while I will always try my best to accommodate last minute requests, I get booked rather fast so please try to reach out with requests as much in advance as you can. Currently, I am available for dog walks, drop-in visits, doggy daycare, and boarding. I am also available to take your pets for walks around your own neighborhood, or on adventures to local parks, trails, etc. Having pets of my own, I do have limited availability for house sitting but it will not be 24/7 care.
