I’m Marissa and I love dogs! They instantly make me smile when I see them, making my heart melt and I fall in love. I adore pups of every personality, size, and breed because they’re so unique and sweet in their own way. My friends and I have a saying that dogs, music and art can save the world. Growing up, there were always pups around. I owned a beautiful German Shepherd back home in Illinois who was wonderful, loyal, protective, and very smart. We were always active together - running and walking whenever we could. She even liked to sunbathe with me on our back deck and even had her own towel. When I moved to LA, I brought my Siberian Husky, Penny Lane, with me. She was six months old when we moved and at eleven now, she’s slowed down a lot. Despite that, I’ve learned so much from her, especially since she’s somewhat of an escape artist. In addition to my personal experience with pups, I have watched, walked, and cared for dogs of every breed, personality, and behavioral issue. One of the best experiences of my pet-sitting career has been the fact that my neighbor’s dog has gained my trust (as he’s a rescue and quite skittish) and now showers me with kisses and cuddles and allows me to watch him when his parents are out of town. I know how hard it is to be away from your furry friend so I aim to provide loving, trustworthy, and dependable care to any of my furry pals. I’ll be in frequent and constant communication, sending photo and text updates so you know how much fun we’re having together. To my canine clients, I’ll let you be you. Whatever your pup's personality is, I go with it. Lap laying, park playing, tug of war tussling, and cute cuddles are a must no matter the dog. Some dogs want extra affection and I'm ready to provide. When I sit for one of my current clients, I always leave their house better than they left it. If I have a glass of water, I wash it and put it away. I am very reliable, up-front and dependable. I usually try to keep the dog busy and having fun so they are tired when their parents come home. I want my human clients feel confident that their baby is being well taken care of.
