Going above and beyond for pets!

Pet care experience

I absolutely love animals, and have two dogs of my own. I grew up with grandparents who ran a small farm as well as a daycare for children, so I'm a natural born caretaker; I've been around animals and children my whole life. I thrive on tackling challenges, working hard, and making sure everything is taken care of. I will love your animal(s) as I love my own. When I am with your dog(s) and we are walking, they will have focused, high-quality, and individualized care. Every pup is different. I am dedicated to making sure they feel safe and loved. I'm also very adventure driven, so if you'd like for me to take your animal(s) on hikes, please let me know as this is something I love to do. I'm familiar with different training methods and have worked with training my own dogs on leash, off leash, basic commands, socializing, etc with wonderful results. A walked dog is a calm and happy dog!

Marissa is the perfect fit for our home! She is reliable, communicative, friendly, and loves the outdoors. Our boys were well cared for and very much enjoyed spending time with Marissa.

I am pleased to give Marissa a 5 star rating! She is a responsible and dedicated to the pets she is watching. When we were gone for a long day, she played with our 2 pups, took them for walks, and clearly they loved her! I highly recommend Marissa!

Marissa was everything you look for. Communicative, flexible when plans changed by a couple of days and won over the critters in short order. Fantastic, you are in good hands.

Marissa was amazing when she stayed with my two dogs. They are high maintenance dogs and she handled it all like a pro! She communicated effectively with us so we knew all was well on the homefront. It made our vacation so much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend Marissa.

Information Marissa G. would like to know about your pet

Are they anxious? I have two rescue dogs of my own, and I'm very familiar with their "issues" - hey, we're all flawed, right?! They are both high-energy and leash aggressive. I try my best to keep a calm crew on my walks and encourage dogs to express themselves but to please "quiet" after a few growls and/or barks. I'd also like to know if your dog is hyper on walks or if they are prone to acting out with other dogs and/or humans. No breed preferences. I have a broad spectrum of experience: from the tinies to the giants!

A typical day

I love to hike and explore, so I would love to be able to do that with your pet if they (and you, of course) are comfortable with the idea. The more sniffing and investigating your pooch gets to do while outside, the better the behavior and level of calm they will exhibit! Here's some additional info. for you to check out... Overnights in your home: Other than short breaks (at most 1-3 hours) and that's only if I have walks and/or drop-in visits scheduled with other 'fur clients', I am with your 'kiddos' all day and night! They will have 100% of my attention and love with lots of play time, all their meals and treats, meds administered (if needed), cuddles, and walks. No need to change your pet's daily routine, or have them stay away from their comfy home where they feel safe and secure! Drop-In Visits: I don't like the idea of checking in on an animal and NOT taking them for a potty break, so I always spend most of the drop-in time outside on a walk and/or in the yard, and then of course feeding a meal and administering meds (if needed) and lots of playing! Walks: I am a walk fanatic! I really love it. When I am in a walking groove with a dog (I will only be with your dog(s) on walks, so they get prime one-on-one time and focus) it's simply the best. Some dogs love to speed walk and treat their walks with me as though they're on a secret mission! Others like to roam and explore and take their time to sniff everything as though they're gathering information for a book they're writing! I'm fine with however your dog wants to lead. Within reason, of course. I just truly love to be out and about exploring the woods, neighborhoods and days with my furry friends! It's their time and it's all about them.
