Let me spoil your pets!

Pet care experience

Currently I can provide walks and care for your pet in your home during the day or night. I love all types of dogs. I have experience taking care of dogs while people are out of town etc. I also want to make sure your dog gets exercise and love while you’re gone so please let me know their likes and dislikes. I want to make sure they are spoiled and feel loved while sticking to their normal daily routine. Please leave a list of toys they like, food, etc. the more that I know about them the better it will be for all of us! I would love to meet you and your baby! I also have experience with taking care of multiple dogs at once.

Rover is refunding me for this visit. I would NOT recommend Marissa to anyone and I hope to never have contact with her again. Just the facts: 1) I needed a last minute walker as my usual walkers were not available. I contacted Marissa early that afternoon (1/10) and she said she could do it about 430p. ***I paid for 1hr*** 2) I was rushing to work but tried to send as much info about my pup as possible. ***I forgot to mention I have a male roommate*** 3) because she was new and I hadn't met her I checked the camera I have pointed at pups crate starting just before 430. 4) at almost 6p when I saw she still I hadn't arrived I sent a msg asking when she was going to arrive and she said 430. I replied that it was almost 6. She said she thought it was for Monday and was 5mins away. After ~15mins, I was checking my puppy cam, and she hasn't arrived I sent a thumbs up. She arrived about 5mins or so after that. I immediately started recording because I was nervous. Pup indicated someone arrived about 617p. I saw her figuring how to open my pups crate at 619p. 5) a few minutes later she sent me a text saying pup peed and pooped. I was a little surprised as my pup doesn't always potty that fast. I checked my puppy cam and recorded -625p she was undressing (harness and stuff) pup in the bed. At 626p she pup back in her crate and looked like she was maybe doing something on her phone so I wait for a msg. I periodically check back in and pup is in her crate alone from that point. Again, I paid for an hour. 6) I contacted her after I got home. She said "I interacted with her she went out and used the rest room and then was not wanting to walk she was cold and kept heading back inside she was taken good care of". After i reminded her my profile said I have a puppy cam and that wasn't ok because she didn't tell me anything. Then she said there was someone in the apartment and that was scary. I replied she should have told me that and we could have discussed things. Instead she didn't say anything until I asked and if I didn't have my puppy cam I would never have known. She also didn't fill out the Rover report card as I specifically asked for as it stresses me out to not have it. 7) my pup typically goes out in that timeframe, for that duration and in that weather. While it is possible she didn't want to walk i honestly doubt it and if so then hanging out in the apartment is perfectly acceptable. She has short fur so she has to wear a sweater which is always provided with her harness and such. My second sentence in the care instructions says "put her sweater under her harness". When I got home I couldn't immediately find the sweater on the bed or with the rest of her sweaters. I thought she stole it for a second but then I saw it on the far end of the loveseat as if it had been flung and was hanging by the velcros off the arm. It was not close enough that you can sit it down in passing, about 6ft away. So my guess was either she didn't use it which would be completely unacceptable in this weather or if she put it over her harness and got annoyed because it didn't work. 8) she then clarified my roommate was in his boxers so I can see why that would be uncomfortable or scary. But she didn't mention any of this until I asked and if she hasn't arrived almost 2hrs late he wouldn't have been there preparing for a date. I told her I felt my forgetting to mention him and her not communicating anything regarding him or that the walk was very short was pretty even in terms of miscommunication. I hired someone for that time to get my pup exercise and companionship. 9) when I said I didn't think paying $30 for a 6min walk was acceptable- she then said my pup was let out, loved and cared for and given the treats I taped in a baggie to my bedroom door. She also mentioned my pup wasn't abused or harmed. She wasn't treated badly and was let out, its not like she wasn't let out and therefore she didn't do anything wrong. ***At this point I was shocked because not abusing my dog is not a solid baseline for a good job. It should never even occur to you to abuse my dog, it shouldn't be something I'm supposed to be grateful for!*** 10) I got in touch with her the next day saying I was shocked and wanted to give us both the night to sleep on it. I politely asked for a partial refund as I did not receive the service requested and she didn't communicate in a timely manner about anything regarding why I didn't receive that service. She said she's a nice respectful person while insulting me and being difficult. *** She also said she didn't steal anything, damage anything or abuse my dog. You're not supposed to! This isn't something that indicates you did a good job!*** 11) she then said she'd leave a full refund under my mat (she didn't and I didn't expect it) but it made me nervous because she knew that I just leave a spare key under my mat, I'd since removed it. I replied that she should go through Rover for the refund; I'd tried to be fair and only asked for a partial refund. 12) after she called me a little crazy (I swear I maintained a polite professional manner) and was rude I contacted Rover and said they need to see these messages. The guy read them and said I need to make a report of all this and include the videos. I hated doing it and making this review but I did. Rover says they are issuing me a full refund. I do not recommend Marissa. Sorry, good luck.

Was able to book on short notice. Not as clear on the booking of exact availability which was ok but needs to be more transparent. Also lacked specific details or pics or updates as compared to other. Would advise to send more details as the stay goes on, as well as offer general updates throughout the stay (if staying at home).
