Pet care experience
My very first job at the young age of thirteen was as a dog walker. It gave me such joy to walk from the bus stop to a house down the road, knowing that in just a few moments I would be getting my daily dose of dog-time with a golden retriever named Lucy. Growing up, my parents introduced plenty of pets into the home, including a Chow-Chow named Kabuki and many different cats. Currently, my husband an I live in a home in Gorham with two German Shepherd mutts, three cats, some chickens and two fish. You could say I have some experience with all kinds of pets :) I'm an avid animal lover, and it would be an honor and a privilege to be able to meet, take care of, and have a blast with your furry loved ones.

We love Marissa! We needed someone to watch our elderly lab and her sidekick grumpy cat while we were visiting family over Thanksgiving. With Scout (the dog) being older we wanted someone to stay at our house with her and we were lucky to find Marissa. She took Scout for walks and sent us plenty of pictures of our little fur babies. We knew they were both in good hands and well loved while we were away!
Marissa is the most compassionate pet sitter I have ever known. She made sure that our three crazy and competitive cats were served equal amounts of dinner-they can be little thieves at meal time-and she kept their water bowls filled. We also have a 12-year-old dog who enjoyed slow walks at her own pace. Marissa has a lifetime of pet care experience and our animals smile whenever she comes over to see them!

Availability
I work full-time, but have a schedule that alternates 3 days in Portland and 2 days at home. I'd like to be flexible, and if I can make something work with you and your pets, I'm willing to spend nights and other free days if it correlates with your needs. Just reach out!!
