Pet care experience
I have taken care of all sort of animals for about 5 years now. I have watched after dogs and cats along with birds! I have looked after kittens, puppies, and senior animals. For some clients, I walk their dogs’ multiple times a day while making sure I leave them enough energy to play. If needed, I have given past animals their medication that is needed, however many times it is needed. For many pets, I go by their home and check in on them, give them food and water, play time and cuddles, anything to make them feel less lonely! I have taken some animals for car rides, of course, with the owners’ approval. I give animals treats, new toys, and lots of love, again with approval. I have always treated animals as if they were mine. As for any animal, I love them like you do.

Marissa is a great and reliable pet sitter. She has watched my two cats while I was on vacation for 9 days. One of my cats needed medication twice daily and I was so worried about leaving her. Marissa totally eased my anxiety. She texted me every time she came to the house and let me know once my kitty had taken her medication. She also sent me pictures of my fur babies throughout my vacation. She followed all my instructions and I know my kitties were very well take care of. I would recommend Marissa to anyone who needs a pet sitter!
We were so lucky to find Marissa to take care of our cat, Vamp. I felt comfortable right away after meeting her and knew that we could enjoy a worry free vacation. She sent pictures and updates for each visit. She gave him lots of love and attention including some outside time. I think Vamp got used to Marissa’s belly rubs since now he seems to want more! Prompt and thorough communication always. Highly recommended!
Marissa was such a loving caretaker to our cats while we were on vacation. Her daily updates were a delight, and we loved getting regular photos of Bailey and Zuzu throughout the week. Marissa visited our pets twice a day to feed, clean, love and play with them. They were happy cats and I suspect they miss her now that we’re back. No worries, they will see her again when we next travel!

When it comes to watching your animals, they will always be cared for as if they were my own. I follow every instruction you leave. If you say two cups of water a day, two cups it is, if you ask, they only get ten minutes of outside time, ten minutes it is, and if you ask me to feed the birds while visiting your pets, I will feed the birds. I want your animals, even the birds, to be as comfortable as possible. I treat them exactly how I would hope sitters would treat mine. My hope is to make them feel as comfortable as possible, as if you have never left. Sometimes I do go beyond what the owner has requested. If your pet is prone to running away, they will always be outside with a leash. They will never be given the opportunity to run away. If there is anything at all that I can do to achieve this goal for you, your pets and myself, please let me know!

I will take any information you are willing to give to me about your animals. I love getting to know not just you as their owner, but them as your pets. What are your daily routines for them? How do you play fetch compared to someone else? Any details I have make it so much easier for me to care for them. There are a couple of things I do ask you to tell me up front so I can make sure I can care for your animals. - How many times a day they eat or go outside for the bathroom - If there is any medication, how often do they receive it and how? - Their vet information in case there is an emergency out of my control.
A typical day
Every day with every pet is different. I try my best to keep them on a regular schedule, as little change as possible. Depending on how often I need to stop by, I will plan my own day on that. If I am needed two times a day, I will always stop by before work and after work. This gives the animal plenty of time in between to drink water, eat, and use the bathroom if needed. I will always come back to make sure they have a clean and happy living area through the nighttime. If I only need to come by once, I will come by around their usual feeding time. I will always enter your home with an infinite amount of love to share with your animals. I talk to them about my day, ask them about theirs. I pet them as much as possible in the time I am there. If they like to play, I love to play so they definitely get in some play time with me. Like I have said, as long as they are happy and comfortable, I will do anything to make that happen.

Availability
I will always move around my schedule to help in any way possible. I work 9-5 daily but I do not mind stopping in before or after work. If I know in advance, I can try to get a few minutes off during the day to stop in also. I can always do last-minute appointments and meet ups; it just depends on the distance. I do care for animals of my own on a daily basis, so adding in your amazing animals is no problem at all. Meeting and caring for your pets are just an added smile to my day.
