I've owned and cared for dogs are cats all of my life. I recently lived with my parents in FL and helped them raise and train 2 pit bull mix puppies. I currently live with 6 roommates (graduate students at OSU), 2 dogs, and 2 cats in a two-story house with a large backyard. I've taken care of other people's pets off and on since I was 10. I have sat for dogs (large and small), cats, rodents, and reptiles. I have experience sitting for dogs that are very old with special needs as well as for puppies with seemingly boundless energy. I truly do love animals and recognize that they are important family members. Most importantly, I have great respect for these animals, for you, and for your home. Thank you!

Marisa house sat and provided care for our 2 pups March 2017. We met each other about 1 month before our scheduled trip. We found that we were a good fit for each other. Marisa is warm, friendly, intelligent, confident, and most importantly a pet lover! She came to meet our girls about a week before our trip and my husband and I were completely comfortable with knowing she would not only be staying in our home but caring for our furry kids. Marisa provided daily updates with pics which eased our minds so much. When we returned home, she left a note providing additional details and encouraged us to contact her for any additional questions or comments. Our home was well taken care of and Marisa followed all of our instructions perfectly. We could not have been more pleased with choosing Marisa as our pet sitter. I will no longer stress when I know I have an upcoming trip that I can't take the girls on as I know I have a fabulous alternative!

I just need to know if your dog has any behavioral problems I need to watch out for such as chewing furniture, or if he/she can become aggressive with other dogs or people. I also would like to know the size of your dog and if they pull on the leash during walks before I pick them up for a walk.
A typical day
I love going to Flatwoods Park for dog walks and if you have a park that you frequent I'm always excited to see new places! I am a runner and enjoy going on jogs or sprints with high energy dogs (as long as the temperature is cool enough).
