Property: Dog-friendly, landscaped front yard and large backyard perfect for, well, roaming! We are located in a quiet rural neighborhood in Buda. If you have an energetic dog that likes to play, chase, or be chased, our 2 year-old Great Dane, 5-year old German Shepherd mix, and 7-year old Husky will not disappoint! Our backyard is fully-fenced and has plenty of room to roam to your canine's content. Dogs will be indoors most of the time but will be taken out often for playtime and walks. A kiddie pool is avail in our backyard to cool off. Visiting dogs sleep wherever is comfortable. Feel free to bring crates if they are crate trained. Floors are tiled (new, stain-resistant) and we have a number of dog blankets and beds that we wash often. Our Dogs: Perfect, duh. (See profile for description of our dogs!). Both dogs were adopted! Your Dogs: Must be house-trained, friendly, socialized and neither food aggressive nor territorial. And is able to get along with young children. (We have 2 young children under 7 who love dogs and giving attention to them!). If you have a chewer, we may be able to make outdoor accommodations. Shy, energetic, rambunctious, sleepy, old, young, and everything else in-between is fine by us! We provide plenty of time outdoors, though of course, we understand the occasional accident. Please be current on vaccinations. This is for the safety of all our dogs including yours. Small dogs are currently not being accepted because our dogs love to wrestle and roughhouse! During drop-in visits, I can also pick up your mail as well as water houseplants on a needed-be basis. About the Hosts: Don – a Gallaudet University, Washington DC alumni. He does web development and works from home on a full-time basis. He's an animal lover (dog whisperer some would say), computer geek (info junkie), and practices Buddhism. Marisa – Also a Gallaudet University alumni. She is a sub teacher who works at Texas School for the Deaf - but is off during the Summer. She enjoys traveling and cooking and being with her children. Worked a few years at a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and am comfortable administering medication via oral and/or injection.
