A friendly gal who adores dogs!
Pet care experience
Hey! I'm Maris, I'm 20 and I am from Asheville, NC. I have a big brown labradoodle, Rottweiler and a Blue Heeler at home. I love all dogs big and small, no matter how much "trouble" they maybe. I love to hike, rock climb, snowboard and pretty much every activity you can do outside. I have my own mode of reliable transportation. My schedule is generally quite flexible and I'm always willing to help if I'll get to hang out with some animals!
Reviews
OK, this is hardly fair, since I'm Maris' parent but, you should know that she's demonstrated a gift for connecting with animals since she was a small child. She knew, instinctively, when to be gentle and when to be playful to engage with animals of all kinds. And they really do seem to sense her caring nature! Maris is incredibly responsible; the kind of person who shows up when she says she will or calls in advance to let you know she's running 6 minutes late (which she seldom does!). She wants the best for animals in her care and has proven so with pets she's had at home, her stints at "horse camp" (pigs, chickens, rabbits, etc...) and when volunteering at the Humane Society from the time she was 12 or 13 through senior year of high school. While balancing her studies, being a kind and compassionate friend to long-term and newly met peers, caring for pets would complete the picture for Maris until she finishes school and moves on to the mountainside menagerie she dreams of running. She's a good one!

Safety, trust & environment
In my own home, I let the dogs out about every 1 hour or so. If the weather isn’t bad, I’ll go throw the ball or run around with the dogs, whatever they want. Sometimes we’ll head to the woods for a hike too. I keep the water bowls filled and feed them twice a day.
Information Maris E. would like to know about your pet
I’d like to know the general behaviors of your dog (skiddish, excited, troublesome, etc), and any other details that you believe are important for me to know.
A typical day
A typical day would look like a morning walk or time playing outside about half an hour after breakfast. Then half an hour after dinner we’d go for a walk as well. Of course intermittent playing and running around all day, depending on the energy levels of the both of us!
