Experienced Pet Sitter for Hire!

Pet care experience

My name is Marion and I have been a professional animal caretaker for the past 12 years. I have had dogs my entire life and have taken several courses on dog behavior and communication. I’m here to provide loving care to your baby while you are away. I always update pet parents daily on the health/happiness of their dog, including pictures. I have pet first aid training and experience giving medications and injections. My husband and a dog loving friend are also around to make sure your dog gets tons of love and attention. No shortage of belly rubs and fetch players in this house! We are cat lovers, too. If your cat needs loving care, we are happy to provide it. Normally we watch cats in your home for their comfort, but we can board them here, away from any dogs, should the need arise. Do you have "odd pets" in addition to your canine or feline companion? I have cared for just about every kind of animal imaginable, from dogs and cats, to giant snakes, birds, rats, rabbits, lizards and fish, and I love every single one. I can provide specialized care for all the animals in your life. I have experience giving medications, training, and socializing many types of animals.

Marion is a pleasure! She was there at the end of our wedding ceremony with her husband to pick up the pup and bring him back to our hotel suite while we had our reception. She took care of him, snuggled him and made him feel comfy! He was definitely pooped from the wedding day as it was a big one. I highly recommend Marion and would be happy to use her again in the future to take care of my baby again. Thank you so much again Marion. You guys allowed my fur baby to be a part of my day and I really appreciate it.

Fantastic! Great communication, Ranger was really well cared for. He was reluctant to leave! Marion and Dave are great people and we're looking forward to his next stay!

Information Marion L. would like to know about your pet

I've never met a dog I didn't like. I’m willing to work with difficult dogs in their home provided we do a meet and greet to make sure I am the right person for the job. For some dogs we may need to arrange a few visits before you are away for the dog’s comfort and my safety. I am happy to work with puppies and senior dogs. Incontinence is not a barrier to care, but I would like to know ahead of time so I can keep them on the hardwood floor as opposed to the carpet. I am happy to accommodate dogs with special needs. I would like to know about them first thing to make sure your dog gets the best possible care.

A typical day

I provide one on one snuggle time for your pup, as well as free play time with my own dog (or the occasional doggie daycare visitor). All dogs are checked for their agreeableness to other dogs before playing with your pet and they are never unsupervised during their time together. I keep a close watch on body language and separate dogs before problems can arise. There is a beautiful park near by. It has nature trails for long walks full of interesting sights and smells. There is also a large dog run there, which I will visit only with your permission. Your dog is our guest. He/she will be allowed to sit on the furniture and sleep where he/she is most comfortable (including up in our room/on the bed). There are often wholesome homemade dog treats baking in the oven or fresh jerky or liver dehydrating (with no spices, just for dogs) and with your permission, your dog is welcome to have some. If he/she likes the treats, we'll send some home with you. I provide tons of one on one attention. Does your dog love to play? So do I. Do you have a senior dog who just wants to cuddle? I love cuddles. I am happy to take your dog(s) on walks to their favorite park. I will match exercise and activities to your dog's needs. While I will typically be able to provide potty breaks with no more than 4 hours between them, if your dog needs more than that, I can provide specialized care. I understand that each dog is different and has different needs.
