Pet care experience
My husband Andrew & I love dogs & have owned springer spaniels, a Westie & a Jack Russell. We regularly look after a couple of our neighbours dogs (a cavapoo & a schnauzer) when they go on holiday. We live 5 minutes walk away from Horton Country Park & have several beautiful walks on our doorstep. We took early retirement so are home all day. We don’t have a dog now as we love to travel several times a year. We are child & pet free & non smokers. We would treat your dog as part of the family & take it for at least 3 walks a day, sending regular photos of our day with a message by WhatsApp or whatever the owner prefers. We live in a house with a fenced garden. We have 2 rooms downstairs with wooden floors. We also have AC in these rooms which we set at 21 degrees when we looked after our neighbours cavapoo in the heatwave in July 2022.

We needed somewhere for our elderly Jack Russell to stay overnight while we attended a wedding locally. After searching for kennels locally I found Marion and her husband who agreed to look after him. It was ideal! They treated him like royalty and he was totally happy there. They are clearly dog lovers. I couldn’t rate them highly enough
Marion & Andrew are the best! They treated our dog as their own, providing lots of love, play & exercise. So much so that our dog misses them already! Would highly recommend them to anyone who would like a home from home for their dog ❤️
it was difficult for us to find someone who we could feel confident about looking after our Norfolk Terrier. We found and liked Marion and Andrew and he was well looked after by them and had lots of walks. It was lovely to receive daily communication with photos of him and comments about how he was doing. We would thoroughly recommend them. Thank you Marion and Andrew, it was lovely for us not having to worry about our little man.
A lovely couple who took great care of my cavapoo for 4 days. He had lovely walks and they kept me well updated on his outings with photos and messages.

We have 2 living rooms with sofas & wooden floors on the ground floor leading to a garden which is fully fenced. We also have a 3rd large living room on the first floor with more sofas where we spend more time in the winter months.

We always want to know your dogs eating habits,any allergies, sleep patterns & favourite things to do. Also anything that they are scared of (thunder, lightning or other animals). We also need to know how they are off the lead & whether they are wary of any particular animals. Communication is the key to all successful relationships.
A typical day
We love to interact with dogs & love to walk in the amazing local area where we live. We are 5 minutes walk from Horton Country Park with its fabulous countryside walks which we know so well. Your dog will be safe in our garden too which is fully fenced.

We are both at home all day so can devote plenty of time to your dog when we are not out walking with them. We are happy for them to sit on the sofa with us too.
