Pet care experience
Hey there. My name is Marine. I’ve been fostering cats & dogs in need for over 5 years now and have met some wonderful people and pets along the way. My love for animals in general is endless and started when I was young growing up in a family with a dog that was considered a member of the tribe and was my best friend. Since then I dedicate a lot of my free time to help no-kill shelters. I just moved to LA and work from home now so I am looking for great company! I love to spend a lot of time outside so your dog will get plenty of outdoor time! My main option on here is dog sitting / drop-ins but I can also do dog walking. I have volunteered with Best Friends Animal Society and Korean Rescue K9 in New York City for the last four years, and have been trained in dog training and rehabilitation. I am available from early morning to welcome your pet and flexible the whole day to make sure your furry friend gets everything he needs. I live in a cool neighborhood near Venice and conveniently located by the LAX airport. I look forward to welcoming and caring for your pet.

Marine was an excellent sitter for Kogi during an emergency need for someone to stay with him over Christmas, because of a COVID-19 related cancellation. She really came through for us with kindness, care, and consideration as this was our first time using the Rover app and first time meeting Marine. She welcomed Kogi into her family’s Christmas celebrations, and sent us plenty of updates on Kogi’s care, and even picked him up and arranged to have him dropped off. It truly left us at ease and helped us travel with peace of mind. I look forward to having Kogi stay with her again the next time we travel!
Marine was an absolute gem and we are so thankful we found her to help watch our lab River! We needed someone to help watch her, and it was the first time we used the Rover app. We were nervous having someone else watch her for the first time, but Marine made us feel so comfortable and was so warm! She sent constant updates, made sure River got a ton of outdoor exercise, and is an all around true animal lover. We couldn’t have had more of a pleasant experience, and were so thankful we found her! River was so sad to leave her but we’re thankful we found an amazing care giver who knows exactly what to do. We couldn’t have gotten more lucky with Marine!

Our pup hasn't stayed with anyone new in a few years and by nature is a little more anxious due to breed (Australian Shepherd). We had a nice long meet and greet with Marine before booking so she felt comfortable staying with her. Luna had a great time - went for hikes, played on the beach and even came home nicely bathed. If we go out of town again and Luna can't join we will call Marine to take care of her :)

I take proactive steps to create and maintain a safe environment for all pets in my care: I live in a spacious duplex apartment with a balcony that is secured, and while I have no yard, I live in a safe and peaceful neighborhood with plenty of quiet streets and parks where to go for a walk. I also live very close to the beach. Your dog will have plenty of space to move around and play, and we will go out often.

I always like to know the dog’s feeding habits, favorite toys and preferred routine. I adapt to the dog’s needs and wants to make sure he is as comfortable away from home as possible !!
A typical day
I am an early riser and love movement in the morning, and it’s always better with company! I go for hikes in the canyons, runs and walks on the beach and also love to walk around my neighborhood for small breaks! I have a big apartment with lots of space to play with your dog!
