It is with the utmost enthusiasm that I recommend Marila Sydenstricker as both a house sitter and pet sitter. For two weeks, Marila provided excellent care to both my home and border collie while I was away. Given Marila’s attentiveness, reliability, and cleanliness, I was perfectly at ease while I was away, knowing my home and dog were in safe hands. Marila left my home neat and clean—just as I had left it—and kept my many (many!) plants in excellent health. Perhaps most notably, Marila went above and beyond when it came to taking care of my dog, Suki. In addition to providing the basic, required care for Suki (feeding, letting her outside, etc.), Marila was extraordinarily attentive, taking the time to regularly pet her and play frisbee with her throughout the day. Marila was even kind enough to send me photos and videos of Suki while I was away, giving me the chance to check in from afar. The photos and videos showed Suki to be having a wonderful time with Marila, which warmed my heart. There is no one else I would trust more with my dog. I recommend Marila with full confidence for any future pet sitting or house sitting.

We have known Marila for many years as a caring and dependable person. She loves animals and takes care of them as her own! After owning many different dog breeds herself throughout her life (Jack Russel Terrier, Irish Setter, German Shepherd, Springer Spaniel), her commitment is unwavering. Whether your pet is a healthy animal or one that needs special attention, you will be at peace when leaving your pet to her care. When the owners are away, Marila even makes more than one trip to your home to feed your puppy and spend time playing and interacting with her. I can't tell you how grateful neighbors and friends are knowing that their babies are well cared for.
