PLEASE NOTE: I am currently traveling abroad and UNAVAILABLE for dog-sitting. When this changes, I will update my profile. Thanks for your interest, and I look forward to meeting you at a later date! I am a previous foster parent for Independent Animal Rescue, based out of Durham. I fostered and re-homed 4 dogs before falling in love with my Pitbull-Plott Hound mix, Tigger. I grew up with dogs and currently care for my parents' dog while they are at work with daily walks and playtimes. I have been a dog-sitter in the past for friends while they were out of town. I also have extensive house-sitting experiencing for the family I babysit for, and for her sisters' family. I am a total animal lover, and I'd love to meet your furry family member! I will treat and love them as my own! PLEASE NOTE: Due to a recent change in employment, I will be out of the house from 3-11 PM (at the most) every Wed-Sun. I am more than happy to feed and walk your dog before work and then walk them again after work, but I understand that schedule might not accommodate your dogs needs.

The girls were in good spirit when I returned home. Wiggly and happy which is all that matters. The house was in great shape, the kitchen clean and even the sheets were removed and folded from the guest room. Good communication and flexibility while I was traveling abroad. Definitely will use her again!
Mariel is great! She kept me informed through messages and pictures throughout the stay. And best of all Deimos was well taken care of and happy as can be. Thanks so much Mariel for doing a great job!
Mariel was great with our dogs! She was very responsive by text and gave our 2 big rambunctious dogs and 1 older dog lots of love and attention. We will definitely ask her to sit for us again!
Our dog worships Mariel. He knows that she will take him for long walks, tug on his toys, scratch his ears, and feed him when he's hungry. She is wonderful with our young fella, as she was wonderful with our older dog, when he was still around. The older dog required regular meds and Mariel could always be relied upon to keep up with his needs. I have trusted my dogs with Mariel many times before and will continue to do so.
