Having a furry companion as a family member has been an integral part of my life, and I have cared for many friends’ and clients’ pets. I am experienced in caring for animals, particularly cats and dogs. This includes daily exercise, playtime, feeding, grooming, and giving medication. I also have experience taking care of and living with large and powerful dogs, and am very comfortable managing them.

I cannot recommend Mariel enough! At the start of the year, my company went back fully in-person work and I desperately needed someone to come walk my pup (11 year old Papi-Poo) in the afternoons. I was initially worried about leaving my dog in someone else's care since he's a rescue and can be anxious around strangers but he fell in love with Mariel almost imminently! She sends me photos and videos from their walks and adventures to the dog park which always bring a smile to my face while I'm in the office. If you're looking for someone who is responsible, communicative, and natural animal lover, Mariel is your girl!
Mariel has been an avid animal lover her whole life and I know she would take pride and joy taking care of your pet. She has taken care of my two dogs on numerous occasions; one of my dogs who is a senior requires daily medication, and she’s always been able to take care of him accordingly. I couldn’t recommend her enough!
Mariel has come to watch my dog and two cats a handful of times when I've been away and she does an amazing job each time. You can just tell when you first meet her that she absolutely adores animals, and my experiences with her have shown she knows exactly how to take care of them. I have an energetic borador (border collie labrador mix) and Mariel always gives him plenty of exercise with nice, long walks. She sends lots of updates with photos and it feels great knowing they're having a fun time—though it means they don't miss me too much!

It’s helpful to know your dog’s or cat’s special needs, injuries or behaviors. I’d also like to know what their favorite activities are, and how much energy your dog has for a hike.
A typical day
I live at the foot of the Hollywood Hills, and it’s a dog paradise really. There are endless safe, beautiful walking trails and grassy areas that I know in the vicinity. I personally love going on hikes and staying active, so I would be thrilled to bring your furry friend along with me. This of course depends on your dog’s health and abilities. If your dog loves a long walk, we could take a hike around Bronson Canyon, or to the Griffith Observatory or the Hollywood sign. There are plenty of parks in this area too. If your dog doesn’t have as much energy, we could take a less rigorous walk around lovely lush neighborhoods. I’d love to learn what your pet’s favorite games and toys are so we can playing during or after the walk. Might that be frisbee or playing fetch with a favorite ball? Let’s have some fun and stay healthy!
