Hello! My name is M (they/them). Thank you for visiting my profile! If you're here, you're probably in need of someone responsible, reliable, and fun that you can trust to keep your fur friends safe and comfortable. Luckily, my 15+ years of professional experience, as well as my many years living with animals, makes me ripe for the task! I specialize in enrichment and long-term stays for active dogs that are sized medium to 100lbs. I am currently focusing on short-term stays and weekly walks.

Our dog is a 100 lb yellow lab named Pullo, who doesn't get along with just anybody. We've hired Mariel several times over the past few years to dog/house sit for us. She and Pullo hit it off very quickly and it gives us peace of mind that our home is taken care of too. We feel very comfortable recommending Mariel for anyone's dog sitting needs.

I have a large fenced back yard in a very safe, walkable neighborhood with MANY parks, very close to Bullhead. Great for zoomies, playing, going to the bathroom, and having some outside time in the sun!

No breed preferences, currently. It is a case by case basis based off the meet and greets. Size and temperment more than breed these days.
A typical day
The mornings consist of 30-45 minute walks or dog park trips, breakfast, some play time, and some treats. In the afternoons, I like to take dogs on a longer putting in order to play, socialize, and zoom around before settling in for the night. Size, weather, and behavior permitting, I like to take dogs for hikes and to the UNM Golf Course. There's always lots of affection and adventure.

Availability
I work from 9am-3pm about four to six days out of the week. I am an early riser and love to be productive in the morning. Before work I make sure to take any dog in my care for a walk or to the dog park for 30-45 minutes. In the evening, I like to bring dogs out for a longer adventure before settling in for the evening. And of course, making sure animals are fed and loved in before heading out for the day!
