Pet care experience
I have extensive experience caring for dogs & cats both personally and professionally. Growing up with pets of all kinds and eventually adopting a dog of my own as an adult, has given me constant personal experience with animals from a young age. Working as a dog walker/pet sitter in the Greater Boston area provided me with invaluable experience caring for animals in a professional setting. I adopted my very own fur baby, a German Shepherd named Stellaluna, in 2019. I raised and trained her from a 9 week old puppy into the beautiful 95 pound adult she is today! I am an all around absolute animal lover with a passion for caregiving, the great outdoors, and being physically active. Whether your pup has a boat load of energy or is more laid back, I've got you covered. I pride myself on my ability to read animals and provide them with the care and attention to make them happy, safe, and comfortable. I can't wait to get to know your pup!

Mariel is the proud mama of a 2 year old German Shepherd and is the best dog mama I know. She has a true affinity to animals. She has been a dog walker in the past in the metro Boston area and also has used the resources of a dog walker and realizes the importance of that job. She can be counted on to be on time and be a true care giver. It is not just a job to her.
Mariel is a dog owner herself, and the care and affection she showers her dog with is undeniable. Her nature is very sensitive, gentle, and caring, and I think animals can sense that as I've seen her effortlessly interact with cats and dogs (both strange & familiar). She is responsible, diligent, and will treat any pet like her own.
Mariel makes an excellent dog sitter because she is responsible and an all-out animal lover. She looks after all dogs like they are her own, with compassion and caring, all while making sure everyone is having a great time. At dog parks or other dog playing/hiking areas, she always makes sure the dogs are having fun and being safe at the same time. She has raised a dog with specific food requirements, so any guideline for feeding is followed exactly.

We currently live in a fully equipped travel trailer on 3.5 acres of family land which also has a house, a pool, and is located across the street from a farm. I often take the dogs for walks down the dirt roads where you can find a beautiful babbling brook with a mini waterfall where they can swim in a safe and controlled environment. My fur baby, Stella, absolutely loves all other doggies and will be more than happy to play with your fur baby to his/her heart's desire. I also have an extra large crate that can be set up if needed or wanted, as well as 50 ft leads. If I'm dropping in to care for your pet, I will do everything by your specific instruction as to assure your pet is happy, safe, and comfortable.

A typical day
I often take the dogs for walks down the dirt roads where you can find a beautiful babbling brook with a mini waterfall where they can swim in a safe and controlled environment. We are also conveniently located near many great hiking spots. I'm very physically active so I'm more than happy to take the dogs on walks, hikes, and/or runs. We also have plenty of relaxing space in and outside the air conditioned trailer for when it's time for rest and relaxation!

I am currently working freelance from home so my schedule is open and flexible to you and your pet! I used Rover myself while I was working full time and am excited to be able to provide the service I so greatly needed and appreciated back then.
