My name is Mariel. When you hire me, you're hiring someone trustworthy, reliable, responsible, and with a huge heart for animals. I grew up with dogs in my family, and was always involved in their care (feeding, pottying, walking/exercise, play, obedience classes). Working as a part-time caregiver at a long-term care facility and being a full-time student, I truly believe in the importance and influence of animals on an individual's mental health. By far one of my favorite things is seeing the people's and animal's faces both totally light up when contact is made; not only is the contact important and therapeutic for the person, but for the dog too! I am a nurse, so I am available at odd times and my schedule is relatively flexible. I appreciate advanced planning as much as the next person, but I can also often make last-minute accommodations. You can expect me to treat your dog like one of my own, with utmost care and love, when you can't be there. Your furry companion is safe with me! :)
