Pet care experience
I am an active woman who has always loved animals. I've worked with dogs through rescues, as a service dog trainer, as an animal care technician at Disney's Best Friend's Pet Care, and (my favorite) as an owner of an 8 year old goldendoodle. I've also worked with other kinds of animals. While obtaining my B.A., I loved learning about animal behavior, and continued on to earn my M.S. in psychology. I'd love to take care of your fur baby and if they like other dogs, my boy is always ready for a play date to keep your pup entertained. I understand each dog is unique and has their own set of needs. It's important that they feel safe and comfortable, and that as their owner, you feel assured that your pet is in good hands.

Marie was great with our three pups. She kept in touch and made sure we received regular updates. Even our nervous pup warned up to her quickly.
Marie was such a wonderful sitter for Cooper!! She was super sweet and very communicative:) She sent lots of pictures and detailed updates, which made us so much more relaxed on our trip. We knew he was in good hands! We would definitely trust her to take care of boy again!!
Marie was great with the animals and her professional but easy-going demeanor really put us at ease. We have a dog and a cat and they each have their challenges. Will definitely use her services again.
Marie was amazing! She took such great care of our boys and was constantly giving us updates on them! Our shy boy, Joe, came out immediately when she started her first visit! Both our boys loved her! 10/10 would recommend! We will be booking her again!

I live in an apartment so unfortunately I cannot care for large dogs in my home. If small dogs or cats are dog-friendly, I can board for several days at a time. I do live on the 3rd floor without an elevator, so pets must be ok being carried or walking up and down stairs. I have the most experience in caring for pets in their own home. I find this a great approach, because it allows pets to stay in their comfortable environment and stick to their routine as much as possible. I am respectful of other people's homes and put an emphasis on safety (locking doors) and cleanliness. I try to keep your home the way you left it, and do what I can to alleviate any work you’ll have to do once you’re back (i.e., dishes). For in-home bookings between November-March I can only stay overnight in dog-friendly homes that will allow my dog to travel with me as I don’t have backup care for him available during that time. Drop ins are unaffected. Thank you for your understanding.

What level of training does your dog have? How strict are you with obedience? Does your dog exhibit any signs of aggression toward people or other dogs, and if so, what brings this on? Are they escape artists? I accept all dog breeds, but unfortunately will not be able to care for dogs who are extremely aggressive toward people/strangers.
A typical day
I tailor my activities to the needs of each individual pet. If your doggo likes fetch, we will play fetch. If they're like mine and consider everything a game of tug-o-war, that's what we do! I've watched couch potatoes who like snuggles and energizer bunnies who love to run and play. I try my best to keep pets happy and engage them in things they enjoy. I also love giving occasional snacks, if they're allowed.

Availability
I work part-time at several different jobs so my schedule does tend to change a bit, but I am always willing to try and make things fit my schedule. Due to my varying calendar, I can sometimes be available last minute, even on days it might say I'm not available. With enough notice, I can also try and shift things around to make it work. The only day I am completely committed is on Wednesday mornings, so that is usually off-limits. Otherwise, I do remote work Wednesday evenings, so I can potentially make that available.
