Hello! I'm Marie, an experienced teacher who loves animals and helping others. I was a special education teacher for 12 years, and now I use those skills to be a caregiver who is observant and tries to safely include each dog in our small group. I've also taught adults to speak English. (I'm fluent in Spanish and familiar with several other languages.) On a typical day, my husband or I am home about 20-23 hours as this both of our full-time jobs. Currently, we own 2 dogs and I also have experience owning cats and snakes. We both thoroughly enjoy helping others, but what sets me apart is my experience in observing and caring for a wide variety of children and adults. My knowledge and experience in education help me to ethically and efficiently care for pets. Also, even if it says I'm unavailable, please message me, especially if it's for drop ins. I do not understand Rover's method for showing whether or not I'm available because it does not seem to correlate with what I mark.
