Always home, fully fenced big yard
Pet care experience
Hi, My name is Marie. I have been a dog owner for 25 years and they are my babies. I’m home full time and spend lots of time hanging out and having fun with my dogs. We go out for walks every day, play ball in the yard, work on tricks and after all that we snuggle up on the couch to watch some tv before bed. There’s always fun to be had but there’s also lots of quiet spaces to curl up for a nap and relax. I am extremely safety oriented and my main goal is to ensure that dogs are safe at all times. I make sure that both my home and yard are kept clean and that harmful products are out of reach. I have a couple of different ways of dividing up my home and my yard so all dogs are separated at meal times to prevent food aggression, or if I am going out for any length of time and can’t supervise them. I always check that my gates are closed before allowing dogs out to play and always stay in the yard with them. I hose my concrete in the afternoons on hot days to cool it and leave out bowls of water in every room. I will never feed a dog anything that I have not been given permission to by their owner. I won’t go for a walk on any day I deem unsafe due to weather. I send updates twice a day for boarding dogs once around 9am and again around 6pm. I always include pictures and videos of your dogs day so you can see what they have been up to on their vacation while you are on yours. I’m always happy to send more or less updates/ pictures as requested. The dogs are my world. I’m home all the time and hanging out with the dogs. If I do go out it’s only for short periods of time. Safety is always my main priority wether in my home or yours. I always supervise all play and never leave the dogs unattended in the yard. All dogs are separated at meal times so food aggression is never an issue.
Reviews
Another great experience for Otis with Marie. Always our first choice for a sitter. He gets lots of attention and play time with other dogs with her.
Otis had a great day with Marie. Thanks for being so flexible on pickup times!! Always excited to see Marie!
Feeling lucky to have found Marie as a dog sitter!
Covie had a great two weeks of staycation with Marie. Marie treats him as his own dog.. very well taken care of. Thanks Marie for the love and care for Covie.

Information Marie H. would like to know about your pet
I will want to be made aware of any medical issues or medications that your dog has. How many times a day and how much your dog eats. What games does your dog love to play? Does your dog have any type of aggression or fear issues such as food, children, thunder or bicycles? What is your dogs normal energy level? Has your dog had all their necessary shots? Please make sure that your dog arrives with a collar or harness and enough food for their stay with a bit extra in case of error or unforeseen stay extensions. Please note that your dog is welcome to bring their favourite toy but I can not ensure it’s safe return. Food bowls, bedding and leashes are all optional as I have many here and don’t require their personal ones but am welcome to accept them. If your dog is crated at night or when you go out at home I ask that you do bring their crate.
A typical day
When the weather permits we go for leash walks around the neighbourhood and play games in the back yard. I also enjoy trying to teach dogs new tricks. On rainy and cold days there’s always time for a good brushing and a good game of hide n seek in the house or a good snuggle while watching TV. There’s lots of toys to play with and lots of places to curl up for a nap.
