I grew up in a home with many pets, and caring for dogs and cats has always been an energizing and joyful experience for me. I have experience caring for pets of many ages, sizes, and temperaments. I am reliable, adaptable, and will make an effort to truly understand your pet's needs and provide them with a happy and comfortable stay. My demeanor is gentle, nurturing, and firm if necessary in training environments.

I have a small, fenced in grassy area in front of my apartment, and several parks within blocks of my home. I only take dogs to unleashed environments, such as a dog park, if requested by the owner. I can host up to two dogs at the same time ONLY if they come from the same household. I will not host multiple dogs from different families at once. I can offer provide pick up/drop off services for a $30 fee (round trip) for clients within 1 mile of Dupont Circle (I don't have a car).

I live in an apartment and share walls with neighbors, so a vocal dog wouldn't be a good fit. I have an easygoing cat, Buffy. While I can keep her in a separate room if an unexpected issue arises, I prefer a dog that is good with cats. To make sure the two can coexist comfortably, I encourage meet and greets for all stays, and require them for any stay that will be longer than 3 days.
A typical day
I live a few blocks from both Dupont Circle and Kalorama park, and would love to take your dog to explore outside! I look forward to long walks, playing with toys, or just lounging around if your dog prefers.

I work from home 3 days a week. I go into the office M/W, and my office is a short commute and I can come home for lunch depending on your pet's needs. We can discuss your pet's typical routine and make sure I am able to provide care that will make them feel at home!
