**Hello, Thank you for coming by; I have been taking care of pets for 4 years on DogVacay and 8 years with a dog walking company not to mention my whole life as a pet owner! It has been a great experience meeting so many wonderful pets and their owners. *** **** As you can see in "Pigglys" (our dog) photo: her favorite saying when describing Mommys business is; "NO WORRIES" We were "foster flunkies" with Piggly...Piggly is an older girl...12 years old who we have had for 9 years. She is extremely gentle,sweet and submissive. Our home is best suited for those dogs looking for a calm and peaceful environment. Our dog is quiet and slow and we'd like to have her friends be that way too (some exceptions). At this time we are not taking on large high energy dogs or dogs who consistantly "mark" in others homes. I usually have about 2-3 dogs here. Holidays/heavy weekends can be up to 5 or 6 but I prefer just 2-3 dogs at a time. It all depends on the dogs! I have quite a few very established clients so I know these dogs very well and who works well with them. On my profile it states I may be gone 2-4 hours a day. This is a bit misleading. I rarely leave when I have dogs (especially daycare) but I picked 2-4 hours as when doing this 7 days a week, occasionally my husband and I will go out for a few hours or I may have a couple of dog walks /pet visits for my other clients (dogs are never left together unsupervised unless they are "family"-dogs we have known for a very long time and we don't have to worry about them) Your dog may love to cuddle on the couch, take walks, run, play ball, sunbathe or explore in the large back yard..Our guest also love the comfy window chair where they can look out and watch the cats go by! I have extensive experience in caring for dogs with special needs or in their later years in life. Don't put off getting away as there is a loving place for your elderly or special needs pet! Here is a little about me: Growing up as an only child in the midwest I was always bringing home strays. I've had a deep love for animals my entire life. I consider myself a pet care professional. My guests safety, comfort and happiness is my first concern and I do anything I can to make them feel at home. **I am also a fine art photographer and artist so I am at home most of the time. I am creating a line of creative products to bring awareness to homeless animals and to help promote pet adoption. The prices you see on the dogvacay "services" can't quite cover all situations...here is a little more info. It is best to have a "meet and greet" to get a more confirmed price and to see if your dog is a good fit for our household. 24 hour boarding: $50....... up to 40 lbs. (small/medium) $60........ 41-80 lbs. (large) $70..........over 80 (may vary) *puppies under 1 year old add $10 *drop offs start at 7am weekdays and 8 am weekends (some exceptions) pick ups: As long as we can stay up! but must be scheduled. *Fees are adjusted based on the level of care that your pet needs. That will be determined in the meet and greet. *** I may be able to offer 24/7 care in certain situations so if you have a situation that you want 24 hour supervision for a certain period of time let me know and I will see if I can accommodate you. Day Boarding: All size dogs..There is still a puppy fee $25.......up to 5.5 hours $35.......full day 6-8.5 hours $40.......9-12 hours My main interest is in private home boarding/ general pet sitting, especially for injured/sick/special needs pets/ cat visits/ hotel visits/ and transport. I am only available for dog walks on a spontaneous basis (booked week by week) I am especially great with senior/special needs dogs and find it extremely rewarding to take care of them. I am now doing airport pick ups/ vet and usda appointments and boarding before usda "sealing of the crate" **We have a huge yard. We are on a 50x150 lot. The yard isn't very pretty. It is too large to maintain grass at this time. For now we have some very pretty green weeds covering our yard. We haven't had one guest complain!
