Flexible, reliable, attentive care.

Pet care experience

Hello! Thank you for checking out my profile! Quick note, I only work with spayed or neutered pets. (Unless they are too young to be fixed.) A bit about me: I'm happiest at home. I like to read, garden, and bake. I love animals and have two dogs, several chickens, and a turkey. I keep a tidy home and yard, but am pretty easy-going. I've taken care of dogs, cats, and many other animals from a young age. I'm confident in my capabilities. I don't just do the minimum. I play, give love, and pay attention to what your pet may need. I am an animal lover and will treat your pet like they are mine. I love my job!

Marie is the best. She even washed Doc’s leash after he peed on it. Sent lots of pictures through the 9 hours he was in her get care. I know Doc likes being in her home. Thank you for the loving care and knowing I don’t have to worry about him.

I will play with, snuggle, feed, water, love, and care for your pet. I can also give medication. When in your home I will be respectful and not enter more than is necessary or requested. On walks I always clean up after your pet, and I carry pepper spray to protect your dog(s) from any aggressive loose dogs. If your pet is in my home they are one of the family. They will hang out with us and get lots of attention. They will be housed in an extra large kennel (see profile photos) only if I am running an errand and at night. If they are not comfortable with a kennel at night they may sleep on their bed on the floor of my bedroom. I can give supervised outside time in my fenced in backyard (see profile photos) every 0-2 hours during the day. They can have lots of free time in my home with me and play with my family - youngest are 8. They are animals lovers too and have been taught very well how to treat animals. If your pup is friendly to other dogs and you are certain there will be no aggression, they are welcome to meet my dogs. I take introductions slowly with dogs on leashes at first for my dogs' protection. Cody is quite social, submissive to all dogs, never aggressive, and loves to play. Pete just prefers to keep to himself and laze about. He also has separation anxiety so you will hear him bark when in a different room than me, but he is not aggressive. I have a tall gate at the bottom of the stairs (see profile photos) to help keep dogs away from the front door or away from other dogs if needed. I keep a neat, clean, organized home. I can care for any age and size dog. You can view FAQs in the full version of my profile on the webpage (instead of the app). Please feel free to message me with any questions!

Information Marie C. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if there are any special needs or circumstances involving your pet including extra large size, medical issues, and temperament. I'll be patient and would be happy to work with them. Please make sure your dog(s) has an ID tag on their collar when in my care. If in my home, they must be safe to have around children ages 8+ and other dogs. I only work with spayed or neutered pets. If you would like me to come to your house before a booked drop in visit so you can show me how to take care of your pets instead of telling me through the app, there will be a $15 fee to cover my gas and time.

A typical day

FAQs: What items should I pack for my dog? Please bring a collar with ID tag, leash, food, bed/blanket, and favorite toys especially if they are a chewer. I have food and water bowls. Do you do meet-and-greets? Yes! About half of clients request them. Just let me know when you're available and we can make that happen. How many dogs do you accept at one time? Two. Every now and then there will be three. Those cases are mostly if pick ups and drop offs over lap that day, but can also be if a regular client has a family emergency, or something similar. How do you keep your kids from letting the dogs out the front door? They just don't. They have been taught well and automatically look for dogs when going in and out the door. We've never had a problem with it. I also have a safety latch at the top of the door that I use for particularly determined dogs. What if I don't want my dog around your dogs or another boarding dog / what if my dog isn't comfortable around other dogs? Dogs can have anxiety too! The gate at the bottom of the stairs (see photos) fixes this issue. With the gate and the half-door to my bedroom (see photos) we have enough spaces to play "musical rooms". They can take turns in the backyard. As long as they are not aggressive they are still welcome. Do you allow dogs on the furniture? No-ish. It's obvious if a dog is used to getting on the furniture. I'd prefer to not let them. Sometimes it helps them feel more comfortable if they are nervous though. If you absolutely don't want them to then I won't let them. Can you accept a dog with special needs? Yes. Mostly. I have helped with diapers, medication, massages, ear cleanings, raw food, and other mild needs. I'm happy to learn new skills! Will you walk my dog while they are boarding / during daycare? Boarding and walks are separate. The fee you pay covers boarding only. They can have as much time as wanted to run free and play in the backyard. My family and I love to play fetch if they do! I am happy to add a walk to boarding if you'd like. Same goes for daycare. Should I bring a kennel / crate? I have one for your dog(s). If you'd prefer they use their own you are welcome to bring it! Can you take care of a puppy? Yes! When I care for a puppy they become my little buddy - my little shadow. I keep them with me 24/7 to help prevent separation anxiety, to keep up with house training, and to gently encourage good habits. They will sleep in a small kennel in my room right next to my bed. Do you have a quiet place for my senior dog to stay? Yes. I will make them a cozy spot in my bedroom or basement, complete with food and water bowls on a placemat. Have another question? Ask away!
