I am a stay at home mom to my almost 2 year old son, so as I am not working I have a very flexible schedule and can make most arrangements for pet care work! Your pet will never be lonely in my home as we are mostly around during the day and always home at night.

My home is in a wooded area on about an acre of land, plenty of space for your pet to sniff around and explore! My mother-in-law lives in our basement apartment with her two sweet dogs who I can easily keep separate from your pups, or if you think your pups would enjoy some company I can always introduce them. The house is large with lots of cozy nooks to relax in and plenty of space to play. Your pup would be well cared for and walked as much as you’d prefer. We'd love your pup as if they were our own, especially my son who is absolutely obsessed with dogs! We'd always make sure to honor and respect your wishes for how your pup is cared for and send you lots of pictures and videos so you never feel too far away!

The most important thing is that your pet would be okay around my toddler son. He is very friendly and loves dogs, but I do need to make sure he will be safe. Please let me know if your pets have any triggers that upset them or any behavioral issues. What are their likes and dislikes? Their favorite treats? What rules do you have for your pets that you'd like me to align with? Any and all information is useful so that I can best care for your pup!
A typical day
A typical day for me and my son consists of as much outside time as possible, especially now that the weather is warmer and it is gardening season. In my backyard there is plenty of land and even a small river running through, making it the perfect spot for your pup to explore. My son and I usually go for a daily adventure, most often on a hike or a walk at one of the many nearby pet-friendly trails, a perfect chance for your pup to explore someplace new and burn some energy :) If you have an older or more mellow pet we are happy to snuggle and take it easy inside too, whatever works best for your pup!

Pet care experience
I have had pets my whole life ranging from dogs to reptiles to even birds! It is safe to say I am an animal lover. My family has always had dogs from young puppies all the way to seniors with special needs so my experience goes all the way back to childhood. In the past I have spent time volunteering training stray dogs and I also started a small pet sitting business in college. My mother-in-law lives in the apartment downstairs from us with her two older pups who we adore, especially my almost 2 year old son who can't get enough of them.

Marie was amazing with our one year-old golden retriever, pup! She asked all the right questions and I could tell when I picked him up that he was very well cared for and well loved. In fact, he was snuggled up on the couch with her husband when we arrived! You can’t beat that! I’d not hesitate to recommend her to anyone and we will definitely be using her again.
Marie (and sweet Leon) was the absolute best dog sitter. She was so kind and thoughtful of our dog’s needs. We loved getting pictures and updates of Maisie and Leon together. She took such good care of Maisie for the week, I would 100% recommend Marie!
Marie is a great pet caretaker who takes her responsibilities seriously. She is compassionate, observant, and careful. She loves animals and is able to communicate very well with them. Dogs and cats trust her and quickly come to love her, too. She is an excellent dog walker, able to run and play with large dogs who need to burn off energy but also able to pace smaller or older dogs. She has been excellent dealing with several of my dogs, even one with severe PTSD that came to us as a rescue and who has become much more at ease, in large part because of her time with Marie.
Marie was the sitter for my two dogs for over 2 years and was wonderful with them. She was always on time and clearly loved them and took great care of them, even giving them medicine when they were sick and I couldn't do it myself. She loves animals and it shows. She even stayed overnight sometimes when we went out of town. She's completely trustworthy and a very sweet human being. I highly recommend her.
