Pet care experience

2024! WELL! TAKE $50 OFF IF YOU BOOK 5 PAID NIGHTS OR MORE! BOOK IN SPRING WHILE THERE’S STILL TIME! Call me at six three one four six one three six one four. We all want what’s best for our beloved pets! They’re our FAMILY! That’s why choosing a true professional is the first and most important step toward certainty in excellent care for your “babies” while you’re away! I TRULY AM THE BEST SITTER ON THIS SITE! I offer HUGE PROMOTIONS FOR SPRING/SUMMER, THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS, NEW YEARS AND EASTER UPCOMING IN 2024! If you’ve taken a good look at the profiles on the site, then you’re well aware how FEW professional sitters are here. Most of the profiles are those looking to “supplement themselves” while going to college or earning extra cash to “add to” a full time work income. That means YOUR DOG IS ALONE ALL DAY WHILE THEY WORK! Where are YOUR DOGS??? In CRATES? In a basement? Some profiles consist of FAMILIES who leave their CHILDREN in charge of YOUR DOGS CARE while they go to work all day! This is not the loving care your family member deserves. It’s shocking to me that they are permitted on the platform! I AM A PROFESSIONAL SITTER with 41 years experience behind me. I started when I was 16 after graduating high school, knowing that this was what I wanted to do. I did this PART TIME while I gained my degrees so that my studies did not conflict with proper care and concern for the dogs in my care. When I completed my schooling I did this full time and never looked back. I’m living my best life! I strongly suggest booking as far in advance as possible for spring/summer/fall/winter bookings! IF YOU WAIT I WILL LIKELY BE COMPLETELY BOOKED! YOU CAN ALWAYS TRY LAST MINUTE BUT IT JUST CANNOT BE PROMISED! Don’t take that chance! Book AHEAD! REMEMBER, holiday bookings are a SLIGHT bit more expensive. However, you can receive special incentives to get the best bang for your buck!!! Saving money is important when you have a holiday AND dog care to pay for! MY PRICING IS SET USING WEIGHT AND COMPLEXITY OF CARE. I USE A SLIDING SCALE. EVEN MY HIGHEST RATE IS LOWER THAN 90 PERCENT OF WHAT MOST SITTERS CHARGE FOR ALLLLL DOGS NO MATTER WHAT THE SIZE, WEIGHT OR AMOUNT OF CARE. "Dogs are what fill my home with happiness!" Since devotion to dog care has been my full time function for 41 years, I am always in residence. They have been my passion for the better part of my adult life and I pride myself in being exceptional at what I do. I have fostered, rescued and re-homed dogs throughout my career! I have been a behavioral trainer as well for 17 out of 41 years! Your dogs DESERVE to receive the exemplary service I provide! *****YOU SHOULD NOT BE FORCED TO PAY HIGHER PRICES FOR SMALLER DOGS! YOU SHOULD NOT BE FORCED TO PAY OVER $55 DOLLARS A NIGHT FOR DOGS UNDER 100 POUNDS! PRICES BEGIN AT $45 DOLLARS PER NIGHT FOR DOGS 60 POUNDS AND UNDER, $50 DOLLARS PER NIGHT FOR DOGS BETWEEN 61-80 POUNDS, $55 DOLLARS PER NIGHT FOR DOGS 81-100 POUNDS AND $60 DOLLARS PER NIGHT FOR DOGS BETWEEN 101-120 POUNDS. GIANT BREED DOGS OVER 120 POUNDS TO BE DETERMINED***** (THIS IS APPROPRIATE AND FAIR PRICING, COMMENSURATE WITH THE SIZE AND CARE OF EACH INDIVIDUAL DOG) HOLIDAY AND SUMMER BOOKINGS ARE $5 DOLLARS MORE PER NIGHT PER DOG. MULTIPLE DOGS ARE PRICED AT HOLIDAY RATES DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASONS. NON HOLIDAYS THEY ARE PRICED AT ADDITIONAL DOG RATES. I live in North Great River on 3 acres of DOG HEAVEN right off of the L.I.E. at exit 57, (Vets Hwy) or exit 58 (Old Nicolls Road)....just 2.5 miles from either exit.....!!! My yard backs up to Connetquot Park, is FULLY FENCED AND GATED and the dogs LOVE IT! (My address comes up as C.I. on a GPS but the area I am in is an exclusive horse property hamlet). I am extremely safety conscious so I do not take a lot of dogs into my home at the same time. This is my full time business and the way in which I have made my living for 41 years. ****Please be certain to review my entire profile in order to familiarize yourselves with all of the many additional services I offer to best serve my clientèle.**** I joined Rover to expose myself to a niche of clients I might not have been exposed to through (at this point) word of mouth. Lol. The care that I provide is personalized and exclusive to your dog's needs. Like people, no two dogs are alike. Each should be treated in accordance with their uniqueness. While in my care, your dog/s will play like pups, be loved as if in YOUR care and be in the company of other dogs who are friendly, healthy and social. I make my own "dog treats" which are "all natural and organic" and my home is always filled with brand new dog toys ready for "tear down!" My property is fully fenced and I am in attendance whenever your dog/s are in my yard. I do not leave them outside by themselves and have adopted a playtime regimen which is part of their daily routine at least 7 times during the day. There are no children or other people in my home so your dog/s have my full attention. I do not crate dogs unless the owner brings a crate and wishes for me to do so. I do ask that the dogs be crate “trained” if your dog exhibits food aggression at mealtime. The dogs in my care can sleep in my room with me and oft times can be found hanging out on the bed if they choose to do so. I have renovated my home to include a free form two room area for the larger dogs. On the opposite side of my home is a smaller duplication of the same for the smaller dogs. This area is across from my bedroom, each equipped with both a twin size and juvenile size bed for the comfort of your fur babies! I use gates to keep the dogs in different rooms at night for safety purposes or in their respective areas. ALL dogs are separated during mealtime. Mealtime, Playtime, Snack-time, Nap-time, REPEAT! Controlling the environment the dogs are exposed to is extremely important in order to maintain safe, responsible and loving dog care! LOVE, Hug, Kiss, Cuddle, LOVE, REPEAT! NO ONE suffers for lack of attention in MY home! Organized and original, your dog/s will never be bored. Clean when they get here and clean when they go home! Gifted with the ability to put your dog/s at ease, everyone settles in like they are in their second home. I'm well versed in giving all forms of medication and I specialize in caring for dogs with disabilities. (3 legged, 1 eye, deaf, blind, both, epilepsy, diabetes…..although if diabetic with picky eating issues, that would not be a good fit). There is an additional daily fee for injections, medical care or ambulatory services. THE ONLY MEDICAL ISSUES I WILL NOT CONTEND WITH ARE GASTROINTESTINAL ISSUES SUCH AS IBS, STRESS COLITIS, INCONTINENCE (EITHER URINE OR STOOL) AND SO FORTH. Use me once and you will never use anyone else again. Your dog/s will be cherished and completely safe while in my care. I do have safety protocol and I will tell you about the implementation of these measures when we have our interview. ***As stated above, my pricing starts at 45 a night, and range up to 60 a night for dogs under 120 pounds. HOLIDAYS AND SUMMERS ARE $5 a night more per dog. This is fair and flexible pricing based upon size and extent of care involved. All large breed SOCIAL dogs are welcome in my home up to 200 pounds. Prices to TBD for dogs of this size.*** Caring for dog's has been my life's passion and JOY. I grew up on Long Island's east end in "horse country". Every household had dogs and every dog in the neighborhood became my companion and friend. As an adult, I became an executive in corporate sales. Since I firmly believe that we should all impact the world around us, I began to question my purpose in life and became increasingly uncomfortable with what I saw as my "lack" of contribution. I felt that what I was doing was not helping people OR animals and I wanted that to change. I began working in my friend's grooming shop which was situated in a boarding facility. After some soul-searching, I came to the realization that caring for dogs on a daily basis was what I wanted to do. I strongly believe that dog care should ONLY be done within the context and construct of HOME CARE. Dogs should receive the benefit of the kind of care that only home care provides. Constant vigilance and love should be the foundation of dog sitting. This cannot be properly done within the confines of a kennel, vet or boarding facility. It will be 41 years ago this September 2023, when I first began advertising in a small local paper. Within 6 months I was receiving repeat business as well as a constant influx of new customers. I left the island for a couple of years in 2013. My late fiance and I were to marry and establish a vacation home in another state. Tragically, he died of lung cancer before ever being able to live there with me. I had already sold my home, purchased the vacation home and leased out his home for the next two years. I had no choice but to move. Now that I have a home on Long Island again, I want to let new customers I have yet to meet as well as my long established repeat customers, know of my new location and my availability to provide the exclusive, personalized care that has always been a trademark of my service. Please call anytime to request an interview for booking. Don't hesitate to ask as many questions as needed to reach a level of comfort. I DISCOUNT BOOKINGS OF THREE WEEKS OR LONGER, although holiday pricing is always slightly higher! Florida "SNOWBIRD" dogs (bookings of three months), receive one full week free for each month of a three (or more) month booking. ADDITIONAL SERVICES which require separate fees. Include: 1. Going to your home to pick up and drop off your dog for your booking. Gas prices being what they are now, this cost has risen to 30 dollars each way, (60 total). Very reasonable considering it costs me 90 dollars to fill my tank. It is $30 each way (60 total) covering both trips within a 5-8 mile radius. 2. Weekly, Bi-weekly or Monthly "poop" removal from your property. $40 a week, $60 bi-weekly and $100 once per month. (I provide bags and will remove bags to curbside.) INITIAL CLEANUP WILL BE PRICED ACCORDING TO THE AMOUNT OF "POOP" CURRENTLY ON THE PROPERTY AS WELL AS THE PROPERTY SIZE AND THE NUMBER OF DOGS IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD; AFTER WHICH THE PRICE WILL BE AS LISTED ABOVE UNLESS YOU HAVE OVER 3 DOGS. 3. Taking your dog to and from the vet. $30 4. Taking your dog to and from the groomer. $30 5. Dog related shopping. IE; food or treats. $30 6. Bathing (not cutting) dogs under 35 pounds at my home. $35 7. Ask me about other services not mentioned here. 8. I bake my organic cookies to order for small, medium, large and giant breed dogs. Size of cookies and quantity will determine pricing. I can bake these cookies in bulk of 50 if requested in advance. Pricing for a package of 12: Small dog breeds-$10.00 Medium dog breeds-$15.00 Large dog breeds-$20.00 Giant breeds-$25.00 I'm home every day full time....your dogs get my undivided attention..I leave to do all of my errands on the same day when I have few or no dogs in my care. Love and safety are top priority for me....after 41 years of service, the exclusive care provided is reflected in the reviews left by my wonderful clients.....

My Raven was very content with Marianne. She sent pictures (Marianne did, not Raven). A beautiful setting. Outdoor time and indoor nap time. Raven seemed quite peaceful around Marianne and seems to have had a very good day!

Marianne takes excellent care of each dog in her care and treats each of them as if they were her own. You wont need to worry about your furry loved one when they are at her doggie oasis.

Marianne was fantastic , she kept me updated and sent me a video each day of my dogs. She watched 2 of them. There is no change in there behavior either after I took them home there completely acting normal which is very important to me because it shows that they were very comfortable with her.

I will ask you a series of questions about your dog/s over the phone and on your booking interview prior to your dog/s stay. I have no actual preferences and love both small, large and giant dog breeds! All "dog friendly" dogs are welcome regardless of breed. I require that you bring a copy of your dog's/s shot records to your interview for me to keep. I establish a booking history and must create a file for each new client. No need for bowls, treats, toys or bedding unless you want to bring a crate. I have all the supplies needed for your dog's care! PLEASE MAKE THE ONE TIME EXPENSE FOR A DOG FOOD CONTAINER FROM THE PET STORE AND MARK OR LABEL IT WITH THE DOGS NAME CLEARLY WRITTEN ON THE CONTAINER ALONG WITH ANY FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS. If you cook your dogs food, be certain all of the prep work has been done in advance of your booking. Please consult with me as to how you should package the prepared food. If you do NOT cook your dogs food, do not bring me bags of any kind, not even to hold your dogs food container in. No plastic or paper bags please. Just the dog food container and an appropriately sized measuring cup so that I can portion out the food at mealtime. I am open 365 days a year although I do not receive or release dogs ON Christmas Day or ON Thanksgiving Day. MY DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP HOURS ARE THE SAME FOR EITHER! BETWEEN 8 AM AND 1 PM. ON THE HALF HOUR. WE WILL CHOOSE THE HALF HOUR AT OUR INTERVIEW BASED UPON WHICH TIME SLOTS ARE STILL AVAILABLE AT THE TIME IF BOOKING. Your dog/s must be taking the once a month flea medication, have the special flea collar or you must be applying the oil to the back of the neck monthly. Your dog/s HAS to have been groomed within 1 week of staying in my home.

Along with indoor toy time, there is fun and frolic in the back yard! I love to roll around the yard with my four legged friends when the weather is warm. They fully enjoy one another outside and romp around freely. I provide interesting excursions for your dog/s. I offer these outings when I have a total of 4 dogs or less which is at least 50 percent of the time. Islip Marina is wonderful! Deer, cats, birds and water...what's better than that??? I take them into Connetquot Park which is actually my back yard! They can see and smell so many things so it's just a lot of fun for them. AND FOR ME AS WELL...LOL...East Islip Marina, Timberpoint Country Club, The Arboretum.....we do "drive-by's".....lol....anyplace where nature and other animals abound.
