Treating Pets like People since '95
Pet care experience
I was born into a family of animal lovers, sometimes living with up to 22 dogs/cats at a time. My family started an animal shelter in Costa Rica to find a home for all strays, but always ended up taking many in... It led me to become a nursing assistant, giving me the opportunity to spend much time working for veterinary clinics and shelters before the age of 16. Now I work at a marketing agency where I manage accounts in the outdoor and ski industry. Despite not working directly with animals anymore, I manage to fill my free time volunteering at animal shelters where I can utilize my nursing assistant license.
Reviews
Mariana did another awesome job dog sitting our aussiedor on our trip. He was happy, exercised, healthy and the house was immaculate when we returned. The frequent video and picture updates provided peace of mind. Thank you so much. We highly recommend her!
Mariana was the best dog sitter for our 5 month golden retriever puppy. She tired him out and gave him the love and care that we were looking for. Would definitely recommend her!
Mariana took great care of Sierra my 11 month Rhodesian Ridgeback. She stayed at my house for 2 nights and took great care of the place. Great communication and she really gave Sierra a lot of attention. Sierra was going through her first heat cycle, so it was a lot of work for her snd she handled it like the pro she is! I'll definitely use Mariana again.
Mariana was great walking and playing with our pup Leela! We felt at ease knowing Leela was in great hands while we were out skiing. Will definitely book again!

Animals will always be our equals in my mind, and I care for them as if they were family. Pets offer us the blessings of amazing companionship, love, and joy — everything we could ever need, and the reason why I love spoiling them with belly rubs, toys, walks, treats, and more at any given moment. You will not be disappointed if you choose me as your caretaker. I am very flexible and can cater to any of your pet's needs — no matter how complex.
Information Mariana C. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs that I can account for. I feel comfortable handling any kinds of complex needs based on my training from the shelters and veterinary clinics.
A typical day
I’m open to any suggestions, and happy to take your pets anywhere you need me to. Depending on the breed and lifestyle of the pup, I like to take them for walks in the park or hikes. I typically take active/high-energy dogs to National Parks.

Availability
I work remote and can take my laptop anywhere, giving me the ability to offer 24/7 assistance and care. I’m usually pet sitting on a daily basis, whenever possible. I started working on Rover to get over the loss of my cat, and now years later, I haven’t been able to stop. I love animals and getting the opportunity to help families plan some vacation/free time (my favorite kind of community service — we all deserve some time off).
