I had a large mastiff for 11 years who unfortunately is no longer with us. I miss him a lot and want to give that love that I used to give him to other pups nearby. I am caring and dedicated to the wellbeing of our furry friends. I am vegan and love all animals. Animals have amazing awareness and if we let them, they can teach us a lot about life. I’ve learned to really appreciate the little things in life through my dog. He was always happy and fully enjoying the present moment. Why not follow their lead ... I think they’re on to something! At this time, due to my small living space and my cats needs I will likely only consider small-medium sized dogs. Although I love large dogs, my cat seems to be intimidated by most large dogs and my space is too small for bigger breeds. I may consider a large dog if they are older/have lower energy. I like to start by building trust and rapport with the pets I sit for. I do this by taking their lead and being mindful of their space. I allow them to come to me when they’re ready and from there use gentle assertiveness to ensure their comfort and well being.
