Pet care experience
In addition to working at a cat rescue for 2 years, medicating, vaccinating, and assessing cats of all ages and levels of domesticity, I have had my own rescue cat for about 5 years. I have experience with special needs animals, and have administered FIP treatment to cats of several age groups. Even if you don’t need sitting but could use some help administering oral or injectable medications, I can help. Ultimately, my goal is to have a curated space where I can provide a safe, warm, and welcoming environment for your kitties.
Reviews
I'm incredibly grateful for the wonderful care my kitten received from Mariam. Her daily updates kept me at ease throughout my time away. I felt completely safe and comfortable knowing my fur baby was in such capable hands. I highly recommend Mariam for anyone seeking reliable and caring pet sitting services. Thank you for your exceptional care!
Mariam is an absolute pro. She is communicative and thorough. Because cats can be aloof, I often feel that people take cat care for granted; Mariam is not one of them. She really took the care of cat seriously and made sure I felt comfortable and good about the sitting experience. And to my surprise, my cat got along with Zeus rather quickly! My cat already misses him! I'm already looking ahead to see when I can have Mariam sit my cat again! Thanks Mariam for a fantastic job!

Your cat will be in the den where my home office is, which is separated from my own cat. This helps prevent escape because it is not close to the main door, which we are vigilant about keeping closed anyway. There is a floor to ceiling window where your cat will love watching hummingbirds at the feeder, many toys, a cat tree scratching tower/perch and play tube, a cat bed, fluffy chair, and a litter box in the bathroom. Your cat may play with some of my cat’s toys and use the cat bed in that den, but please drop off food and your cat’s feeder. My home is carpeted so it is essential that your furry friend is up to date on flea prevention treatments. Basic grooming (brushing/wipes) and medication administration (if needed) included in bookings! Additional grooming may be available for a surcharge depending on your cat’s comfort level. I make it a point to provide you with thorough updates including photos and videos while you’re away from your furry friend so that you can have peace of mind! If your furry friend has fleas, parasites, ringworm or another contagious condition (Dogs: kennel cough, parvovirus, etc; Cats: URIs, panleuk, FIP, FELV, FIV, Calcivirus, etc) I cannot take care of them in order to protect my own pet as well as other clients. If you do decide to book through Rover while your furry friend is sick, make sure your sitter/walker does not have pets of their own and will not interact with pets 48 hours after taking care of yours.

Information Mariam M. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your furry friend has any triggers, medical histories, or allergies, as well as their favorite toys/forms of play :) If they have treats, let me know how many they're allowed to have and if they have any preexisting training to keep consistent. Let me know how much attention your cat wants, whether it's keeping a distance or constant play + pets. If your cat is shy, would you like me to let them hang out on their own terms, or try to socialize them? If your cat is social, do they have a favorite brush/toy?
A typical day
A typical booking for boarding cats will include provision of food/water, brushing/pets (if tolerated), toy + treat time, and litter box cleaning daily. The den is where my work desk is located so your cat will not be alone for most of the day.
