Pet care experience
We’ve always had lots of animals in the family, we’ve always had cats and all my aunties have dogs I’ve looked after. My partners family also all have dogs which I’ve looked after various times; the responsibilities I’m familiar with have included walking, feeding, grooming and most importantly working around the temperament of the dog (whether it’s very playful, sleepy, nervous,etc) to ensure that the dog is happy and comfortable.

Definitely recommend Mariam. My dog is a rescue and also has arthritis. Mariam was so kind and friendly with her, bonded with her really well and gave her lots of cuddles. She was very good with my dog's medication and special needs. Very good experience.
Mariam has a kind and calm manner that is ideal for my wary and slightly anxious miniature schnauzer. She has been to Mariam’s twice now and settles in quickly. Kezi and I definitely recommend her!

I live in a spacious tidy flat in east London with lots of communal greenery downstairs and we’re right next to the canals so it’s great for walks. I have no other pets and one housemate who also likes animals but is generally not home very often.

I like to know it’s general schedule, and how sociable/ nervous they are. Any little tricks and tips about feeding time, calming them down or how they like to be introduced to new people is great to know too!
A typical day
I’m within walking distance to lots of big green spaces, Hackney marshes is a particularly good one that I love taking dogs too as there’s so many interesting smells and wildlife to explore!

Availability
I work freelance in costume for film and TV so when I am working the hours are very long, however this job also gives me lots of time off where I can be home and fully devote myself to looking after pets. Therefore I can revolve my time around the pets feeding and walking schedule.
