Pet care experience
I'm Mariah, a nursing student with flexible hours who loves all animals. I have been pet sitting for friends and family since I was about 15 and started volunteering at the SPCA at 16. I currently live in an apartment in Shockoe Bottom but will soon be moving into a house with a large fenced in back yard. I love dogs of all shape and size and know how to properly handle larger dogs, I have a 80 lb bloodhound who lives at my parent's (he needs a big back yard all the time). I also have a cat who lives in my apartment with me but all he does is sleep. I can't wait to meet all kinds of dogs and help people around RVA!

Ever since Mariah was little, she has loved animals. From horse back riding to dreaming of becoming a vet, she has always shown a passion for animals in every aspect of her life. Our family has always had multiple pets, so Mariah has a lot of experience working with different dogs and their varying personalities. Her caring heart proves her ability to watch after animals and people. Mariah is currently a nursing assistant at St.Mary's Hospital, where she takes care of dozens of people every shift. Her responsible and conscientious nature would serve her well in this job.
Mariah has watched my dogs (3) on numerous occasions for different periods of time, some a week plus. My dogs absolutely love her. She is passionate and affectionate towards them and always provides them with what they need when I am gone. Sometimes I think she spoils them too much because when i come home they are not too happy..
