My home & my pets: I live in a duplex house with a fenced yard, in North Richland Hills. We have two cats who stay in their bedroom, and one dog who loves making friends with new animals and people. I have one roommate who helps me out by watching the pets if I ever have to step out of the house, which is great because it means none of the animals ever really have to be home alone. Animals I care for: I love animals of all breed, age, and size. From skittish cats, to dog breeds that often earn an unnecessary bad reputation like "mean" pit bulls or "annoying" chihuahuas. I don't believe animals can be so broadly generalized by their genetics. I'll care for your softie of a Great Dane, your Yorkie who thinks it's whole lot bigger and tougher than it is, or your cat who hates closed doors, with the same compassion and understanding as any other animal. About me: I come from a big family of animal lovers and while growing up my parents were always adopting new pets to add to the family. We had three horses, four goats, seven dogs, and twelve+ cats throughout my life. The dogs we had ranged in size from a lap dog weighing in at 5 pounds, to a labradane who weighed well over 100. Many but not all lived with my family at the same time since it was a large property, so I'm very used to handling multiple pets at the same time. Having moved out to go to school, my parents kept their dogs and cats, and I have my two cats and one dog. Experience: In addition to taking care of the many pets I've had, I also dog sit for friends and family whenever need be. I've cared for pets of all ages and that come from all walks of life including: a cat diagnosed with clinical anxiety, multiple dogs who developed arthritis in their old age, dogs and cats adopted from abusive homes, and of course many lucky enough to be happy and healthy their whole lives. I'm currently a college student, and I take most classes from home so I can work from home with ease. I am very experienced with pet care and I would love to help you take care of your loved ones.
