Mariah provided great service. Yoshi seemed to enjoy himself and Mariah provided many pictures and a well detailed account of his visit.

I have known Mariah her whole life. She has always loved animals. She’s rescued a number of them over the years, always so sad when she had to let them go to their new home. She would insist on visiting the pets weeks later to make sure the home we had found was a good one. Finally, when she was 13, we took in our last cat. She was disappointed, but we just couldn’t afford to rescue anymore. She looked at volunteering in a shelter, but anywhere where animals are put to sleep is not a place she can be, she just loves them too much. Now, years later, she has graduated college and wants to do something she loves. Since working with pets has always been a passion of hers, she decided that this is the route she wants to go. I have seen Mariah connect with pets that usually only like their owners. For instance, we had a friend, Peggy, with a chihuahua that hated everyone but our friend until he met Mariah. After that, Peggy would always ask Mariah to come sit with Obie, the dog, if she would be gone for a good part of the day. He was a high stress animal with health issues. Obie always did better when Mariah pet sit for her, than with anyone else. Another time, a bird (Louie), who bit everyone but her owner, totally loved Mariah. The bird loved her so much, the owner considered giving Louie to her. She has a special ability to bond with animals quickly. They tend to trust her and like her fairly easily. She worries about if they are comfortable, happy, upset, hungry, warm or cold, etc… She relates to them missing their owners and helps distract them with playtime and loves. At home, we have 2 cats currently. She takes care of many of their needs and is responsible for their care when I am gone, which is pretty often. Our cats love her to death. They would be in heaven if they had her to themselves 24/7. She also spends a considerable amount of time at her boyfriends house. They have several animals themselves, though the dogs are usually in a separate area. Mariah is the first to feed the cats, give them clean water and she plays with them more than anyone in the house. She has become a favorite human of the pets there as well. Matt, her boyfriend whom I’ve known for about 5 years, and his whole family, have always loved animals. They have rescued many and continue to do so to this day. I believe Matt has had animals his whole life, just like Mariah. Mariah would be the person caring for the animals, but Matt will assist as needed. Mariah is someone who will protect, love, and care for your pet like they were her own. She has an amazing capacity to love, which I believe animals pick up on. I think that is part of the instant rapport she has with them. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet well.
