Friendly, Eager, and Reliable!
Pet care experience
October 2023 - I reactivated my account and am now accepting new and repeat clients! From 2015 to 2019 I worked in veterinary clinics providing vet tech and admin support. During this time I received extensive training in canine and feline care while building relationships with many of the clients who trusted me to watch their beloved furry friends. Many of the pets required medication, special diets, grooming, or just a little extra attention which I'm always more than happy to provide. Since my veterinary clinic days I've become the de facto pet sitter for many of my friends - something I'm very proud of :) and enjoy thoroughly! I've had pets my whole life and understand what they mean to be a part of your family and feel committed to bringing you peace of mind when you're away. I've worked with a diverse range of breeds, ages, and multiple pet homes, there's hardly a challenge I won't accept so please don't hesitate to reach out! I'm more than happy to answer any questions about services and pricing, provide references, and meet with you and your pets (at no charge) before committing to any dates or services.
Reviews
Mariah took great care of our cats Olive and Cooper for 5 nights. She gave them lots of love and play time, and even our shy cat was sleeping on her nap. The house was in great condition as well. We will definitely have Mariah care for our cats again!
Mariah took care of our two cats for several days while we were out of town. They had a great time with her! She gave us regular updates and photos, and she was able to help us last minute by staying another night when our return flight was canceled. She kept the house clean, and we came back to kitties who were clearly loved and cared for while we were gone. We'd definitely book with Mariah again.
Mariah was great! Punctual, reliable, and took great care of our dog. We appreciated the timely updates with photos, and overall, she did an excellent job. Highly recommend!
Mariah was amazing. Our animals loved her and she really came through when an unexpected delay caused us to need a few extra days of her time. Cannot recommend her enough.

When it comes to your pet and your home I will follow your schedule, routines, and guidelines. Please let me know if your pet should be crated, allowed to play in the backyard, kept separate from another pet in the home etc. I've also watched a few dogs that "counter surf" or have a penchant for eating dirty socks - so meet & greets are a great time to go over details and any quirks I should know about! When you're away it's also nice to just have someone keep an eye on the house - so I'm happy to bring in the mail, packages, water plants, or be a point of contact for gardeners, etc.
Information Mariah L. would like to know about your pet
Common Questions I like to ask for dogs: Are they leash reactive? Any dietary restrictions? Any issues they've run into in the past with other pet-sitters? What commands do they know? Common Questions for cats: Do they hide when strangers come over? If so, where should I look just to make sure they're okay. Do they ever try to escape? What's their favorite toy? Some cats have a tendency to throw up, is there anywhere in the house I should check for hidden messes?
A typical day
Unlike at a kennel or lodging facility, when your pet is under my care I follow their regular routine. I love a good game of fetch, going on hikes, or trips to the dog park. Lincoln Park, Seward Park, and Magnuson Park are some of my favorite places in Seattle to frequent.

Availability
I'm currently in-between jobs so my schedule is quite flexible. When you book with me your pet is the priority! I have plenty of time for extended walks or trips to the dog park. Communication is key and I will let you know if there are any foreseeable scheduling conflicts.
