Pet care experience
I have 6 years of experience as a vet assistant. I worked at a small and large animal vet clinic and was on call for emergencies too. Some of my responsibilities included giving medications, assisting the veterinarian and helping walk the animals. I am very comfortable around all different kinds of animals. I love them scaly or furry. I have grown up with all kinds of animals including rabbits, cats, dogs, and horses. I have three shepherds( who keep me very busy) and one cat and two horses of my own. I have pet sat for various animals such as cats, dogs, horses, lizards, frogs,ferrets, snakes and spiders. I really enjoy taking care of animals and would be happy to look after your furry friend.

This was our first time using Rover and we had a great experience with Mariah! It can be nerve wracking to leave your pets for a longer amount of time than you’re used to, but Mariah helped us feel comfortable with it. She came over to meet us and our cats before her drop-in, which was nice for some peace of mind! Mariah did a great job feeding our cats, cleaning their litterbox, and generally paying attention to them! We loved the pictures we got while we were away :) we would definitely use Mariah again and recommend her.

I take my older dogs for morning bike rides and provide mental stimulation in other ways, ie dog training challenges etc. My cat enjoys ruling the house and mild playing. 😄. I always treats every pet as my own with love and compassion.

If your dog needed any medications or had any behavioral issues I would like to be informed of these. I do have experience working with shy or protective dogs, or dogs who aren't pet friendly. I'd be happy to look after horses, small pets, and reptiles!
A typical day
I would take your dog for walks around the neighborhood, provided it was fairly quiet and not near a busy street. I'd also be happy to take your dog to the dog park to socialize and have off leash time.
