Hi! I'm Mariah. I have 3 years of professional experience taking care of pets; not including caring for my own dogs since i was a child. I used to work at a dog boarding and grooming salon, so i know what it takes to care for your dog. Im happy to bathe pets as i know how to properly bathe and massage them, walk them, feed them, play with them, take them on frequent potty trips, and if you'd like, many trips to the park! I took care of emergencies with animals at the grooming salon, so i always carry a Pet First Aid kit in order to be prepared for anything so your pet can be as safe as possible. I also worked at PetCo for a while where I learned nutritional facts for pets, safety tips for your pets, and I learned basic training if you'd like your dog to learn basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down, etc. as well as leash training! I live in an apartment with several field areas for dog walking, but my mother lives less than 5 minutes from me and has a huge fenced in back yard where i can take them if you would feel safer having them fenced in. There are several parks near me, such as Tribble Mill, Alexander Mill, and Rhodes Jordan, so your dog can always enjoy some socialization, a run on the nature trail or playing fetch in a large open space. If you have a puppy, i have a large kennel with enough room to fit a Great Dane or a St. Bernard where they can sleep after play time, or if your dog likes a safe place during a thunderstorm, they are more than welcome to use the kennel as well. I also have 1 year of veterinary technician training so far. I have lived around and owned dogs since i was two years old, so i know what it means to want and need a trusty and loving animal caretaker for your pet. I'm happy to take care of any aged pup, from a new-born puppy to and mid-aged bouncy doggie to an elder; I actually just had to put down my very old boy in April, and while im blessed to have been able to spend his last days by his side, I will be there to help any family in need that has an older dog which needs special care and attention. Taking care of dogs is my passion, and i want to be there for any family that needs a dog sitter, a walker, a bather, or just a care taker. I honestly know what it means to be a loving and trustworthy dog sitter!
