I have never used Rover and after this experience I don't think I will again. I dropped my two dogs off at Mariah's before leaving on vacation. When I arrived at her apartment, I did not meet her, but instead met what I'm assuming was her significant other. I was not invited into the home, but rather handed my dogs over to a complete stranger at the door. He claimed she was still sleeping. I immediately had a bad feeling, but tried to chalk it up to just nerves about leaving my dogs. Within a 24 hours, I started receiving pictures and it felt like things were going more smoothly. Mariah and I had great communication it seemed. Then, when we returned from our trip, we went to pick up our dogs and same experience. I NEVER met Mariah and NEVER saw the conditions where my dogs were staying. Best I could tell from what little I saw of their apartment, was that they had numerous dogs staying with them in a small environment. My dog's crates came back dented on the top as if other crates had been stacked on top of theirs. They will not be returning.
