I love dogs and they love me back. Every dog in my care gets a secure, loving, calm environment, with all owner's guidelines and boundaries respected throughout the stay. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I love sending owners little notes about the cute things their pups did throughout the day. I believe there is no such thing as a non-photogenic dog. I have never met a dog that I could not figure out how to get along with. My favorite win was my friend's super nervous rescue who liked me enough to voluntarily give me his toy...eventually. I work from home two blocks away from Astoria park. Usually I take the pups for shorter walks around the neighborhood in the morning, evening, and before bed, with a longer walk in the park around lunchtime, weather permitting. If your dog likes to play, bring over a toy and we'll play!

My dog can be a little challenging, reactive and sometime anxious around new people. Maria is truly a dog whisperer. Heartly had a great walk with Maria. Highly recommend.
Maria is friendly to humans and kind to pets. We felt better about heading out of town for a few days knowing she'd be checking in on our cat. Maria was prompt in responding, attentive to the instructions we provided at our meet and greet, and followed through as promised. We're very satisfied with the service she provided.

I have to meet every new dog and their humans before I accept a new booking - this way we will all be comfortable that we are a good match. Beyond that, I need to know any medical or dietary requirements, any history of anxiety or aggression around certain situations (strangers, cars, other dogs, SQUIRRELS!), any behavioral issues you are currently working on, what the dog likes and dislikes, the normal activity level and schedule - you know, all the stuff you'd want me to know. If your pup has something they're working on, like pulling on walks or negative reactions towards certain things, that's ok! I just really need to know these things so I can provide the best care for your pup.

Long walks in Astoria park! Off leash time at the doggie run! Hanging out with me all day long because, seriously, I never leave. Playing fetch and snuggles on demand.
