Pet care experience
I have experience with dog walking and pup-sitting for my friends and family. I have brought pups to my home for overnighters, as well as done house sitting with the pups in situations where they would be too anxious to be away from home AND their family. I have also been asked and often offered to pop into friends’ homes to just check on their pups to ensure they are okay, if they are in need of a walk or cuddle or even a midday treat when their family were away for extended hours in the day. I would be able to offer overnight boarding in my home, which I share with my husband and my father who both equally love pups 🐶

We were nervous leaving our dog for the very first time. Maria is so kind and caring, she sent updates and photos. You can tell she loves dogs. Our timid dog was well looked after and we would definitely use Maria again. 10/10 recommend!
Maria and her family took great care of my dog while we were away for Thanksgiving weekend. Sybbie loved Maria from the moment they met:) - While we were away, I got updates with pictures -and I could see that Sybbie was very comfortable and having a great time ! I highly recommend Maria - she made the whole process of leaving my pet much easier.
Maria is one of the biggest animal lovers I've ever met. You'll never find someone more loving, more attentive, more conscientious to care for your pets and your home. I've known Maria for over a decade and she's an extremely hard-working, caring, generous, kind person who makes friends with everyone she meets. Your pets will be adored, played with and walked to their heart's content, and you'll want Maria to come back every time you need to leave your beloved pets behind. I can't recommend her enough.
My current dog has anxiety and Maria was amazing with her right from the first meeting. She has such a compassionate and patient approach and put our floof at ease immediately. It is so comforting to know she's in good hands on her walks with someone who truly wants to provide the best experience for her. Maria also walked our previous 2 dogs, who adored her. She is knowledgeable about dog care and asks the right questions. She has a genuine love for all canines and just had a special way with them.

I live in a condo right by Granville island and we have a dog friendly park across the street as well as close access to the seawall and off leash park should more activity be a priority for you. I am happy to socialize or do human only interaction depending on your pups needs. Our building is super quiet as are we, so I would picture your pup curled up beside us or near our faux fireplace as we watch tv or read. Perfect for pups who love to snooze! Above and beyond they will be treated like family. There is almost always someone home so your pup will be keeping one of us company. 🤗

In order to provide a safe and fun experience please have a look at some things I would like to be shared before I meet your pups ☺ ~Do they socialize well with other pups or humans, anything to avoid? ~Any specific activities or things to avoid? i.e. Does not like their tail touched, does not get along with bigger breeds, needs a short lead on walks with other dogs etc. ~ Any special needs i.e. like allergies, medications, special paw care etc.? ~ Any specific feeding or walk schedule to adhere to? ~ or just let me know anything to make the experience the best for your pup ♥
A typical day
I would discuss with you what you are in need of and activity level desired for your pup. A typical walk would be in the neighbourhood and most often than not end up at the seawall. If more activity and socializing is needed there are dog parks and dog beaches close to me that I would be happy to take them to. ☺

I currently work full-time but work a Flex Time schedule As well as work from my home. I was in search of a unique part time job, as I have been without a pup since my little love of my life Hera passed in 2019 at the tender age of 14. She was a toy poodle shi-tzu mix. I miss her company and would love to keep your pup company.
