Pet care experience
Hello! I am a friend of all animals, and I've been working with dogs for a long time, in my neighborhood growing up and through my work experience. I've worked at a local pet store, groomer, and at a dog kennel in Mason. I'm confident I have the experience and knowledge to give your pets the love and care they need while you're away! I've worked with dogs young and old, small and gargantuan, and they're all precious to me. I'd love to meet your fur-kids!

Maria was such a wonderful dog, cat, house sitter! She was taking care of our home, 2 cats, and dog with Epilepsy for almost a week. She was willing to meet and talk with us, more than once, and read my large google doc, to make sure she had as much information as possible to help give our pets the care we want for them. She was great with communication, sending photos and videos galore! She was very responsive, flexible, and accommodating. She administered medications to our dog regularly. She was super involved, giving attention, walks, play time, and even noticing and taking good care of our dog through a seizure. She was even willing to stay much longer at the last minute when our plane was delayed so our dog wouldn't be alone, in case of another seizure. We are SO lucky to have gotten to have her pet and house sit and would love to have her again!
Maria was an amazing dog and house sitter while I was out of town. She was really great about giving updates and took excellent care of my two dogs. I hope she's available the next time I need a dog sitter!
Maria was an excellent pet and house sitter for while I was away on vacation! She took great care of my dog and kept me updated on how things were going. I highly recommend her and will keep her in mind for any future trips!

As of 2023 I am fully insured through Pet Sitters International, which is also a great resource for pet owners, not just pet sitters! At no point will I arrive at your home without a clear request and confirmation at least 24hrs in advance. If you are a 1st time client I require a meet & greet, as this is a great way to help your pets see me as a friend and not as an intruder, and to assess whether we will be a good fit. 🙂

I need to know if your pet has ever showed signs of aggression to people or other animals before, is toy or treat aggressive, or has specific things that trigger an elevated response. Any bad habits you would like me to watch for and discourage, and whether they are up to date on flea and tick medication so I can be alert would be awesome!
A typical day
Most dogs need some kind of play or exercise at least once a day, just like us! We can play with your pets current toys or I can bring some fun ones from home to play with. During an in-home stay we will go on a minimum of two walks each day, along with general outdoor time to potty. Any special requests we will discuss when I meet your pet(s). I will take lots of pictures during a visit so you know just how your pet is doing!
