Pet care experience
I've had cats since I was 6 years old and have pet-sat for both dogs and cats for 10 years. Many people are impressed with how I bond with animals - I have cultivated bonds with the most skittish and high-anxiety dogs and cats. I have administered medication to cats and dogs, such as eye drops, pills, and shots while putting as little stress on the pet as possible. I have a betta fish (named Leonard) and would be happy to care for your fish (feeding, water changes, water testing, etc.) If there is anything particular that your pet(s) need that I’m not familiar with, I will be honest and upfront with you and am a quick and eager learner.

I am unable to house pets in my house, as my roommate has two cats and I wouldn’t want to cause any stress on your pet(s). If you would like, I’d be happy to find parks or walking paths near your residence ahead of time. If a pet needs exercise, I'd be happy to go on walks, jogs or runs depending on your pet's needs, for whatever amount of time needed.

I would like to know if your dog is leash reactive, such as barking or jumping at squirrels, dogs, cars or people. Additionally, I’d love to know if there are any paths you typically take when walking your dog. If I’m dropping in on your pet, I’d love to know the toys they love playing with, hiding spots and their personality so I know how to cater towards them.
A typical day
I am very sensitive to each pet’s individual and unique personalities and am able to read their moods fairly accurately. If your pet wants to play, I love doing anything interactive with them, from playing fetch to tug of war to wrestling on the ground with them. If your pet is nervous, I’ll make sure they are comfortable with me before anything else. If your pet just likes to sleep or lounge around, I’ll keep them company and give them gentle scratches.

I’m currently attending graduate school at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. Monday and Tuesday, I am unavailable until after 5pm but on Wednesday-Sunday I am free past 12pm.
