Hello there!!! My name is Maria Carolina, but I go by Carolina! I work from home, so I have the availability to give the attention and care your pet needs. I don’t have any kids or pets, and I don’t take dogs from different households. I am Brazilian, and I just got a house in Sandy, after spending 15 months on a sabbatical, doing house and pet sitting, and traveling through the US, South America and Europe. I got very used to have pets around me, but I am not ready to have my own dog, so I decided to keep doing pet sitting to foster the pet connection in my life. During my sabbatical, I was traveling and house/pet sitting using another platform. During that time I had experience caring for several pets, among them: Labradors, German Sheppard, Jack Russel, pugs, frenchies,huskies and a couple of cats! I have my interview process before accepting to board any pet, I want this to be a good experience for the pet, for you and for me. I just take pets from one house hold at a time, and I can take up to 3 dogs, depending on their behavior. Maria was fantastic!! I have a little dog that gets very nervous being away from home and her humans. I was a bit nervous on how she would do but Maria had no fear and reassured me. She sent me updates and photos of peanut. Took her on walks, gave her snuggles, played ball with her— all the things Peanut loves. She was in heaven. When I picked up peanut she had a smile on her face. She was well taken care of— probably better than at home! Plus Maria was super workable and helpful when my flight kept getting delayed to get back home. Definitely will rebook and highly recommend.
Maria Carolina is one of the best sitters I have ever had. She watched my senior dog a few times while I was out of town and I was very happy with the way she took care of him + kept me updated on a daily basis. It is very hard to leave the house when you have a sick senior dog, but she kept track of his medicine and walk schedules like a champ and I was very grateful for having such a caring person watching Roscoe.
Maria is fantastic! She is easy to communicate with, follows through, and super reliable. She kept our home safe and tidy. We loved getting updates of our fur baby out for walks and enjoying parks; we know he was very well cared for. Can’t wait to use Maria again!
We had an amazing experience with Carolina! She is warm, very friendly and funny and our dog LOVED her. She totally spoiled him, taking him on many adventures over the month she stayed at our home. Some of the adventures were wet and muddy and she always cleaned our puppy afterwards. She also cleaned our car after carting him around in it for a month! She followed our exact instructions for our dog's routines for walking, toileting, sleeping and eating. Our dog knew he could trust her from day one! She was extremely communicative with her travel arrangements, keeping us apprised every step of the way, before, during and after her stay. We came home to a very clean, tidy house and a happy dog. I would trust her implicitly with any pets and responsibilities. She took great care of our home and plants. We wouldn’t hesitate recommending her to friends and family and look forward to having her again! We’ve all made a new friend.

I ask as many details as possible about the pets routine, to keep minimal changes for them. Specifically for dogs, I love to take them to dogs parks, hikes, trails, lakes, beaches, etc… since I’m a solo, they end up being a big companion! So I definitely rather sit dogs that are sociable.

Medication or special care – do they take any medication, or require any special care? Is your pet fixed?
A typical day
Like I said, I keep mostly at home, the dogs have access to my back yard to lounge, and get sunbath. After work I like taking them to the Sandy dog park, or trails. I’m also ok with a walk around the block, if you’d let us ok with it.

I work from home, my schedule is from 7 am - 4 pm, from Monday- Friday, so I am home most of the day, on weekends my mornings are usually busy, but other than that, I’m mostly at home.
