Pet care experience
My name is Maria, I'm a huge animal lover and would love to care for your pet! This includes anything from boarding your furry friend at my place, dropping by your home to feed/etc., dog walking, etc. Let me start out by saying that I love all kinds of animals. I currently live in an apartment with my fiance and our 5 year old Australian cattle dog/ border collie/ probably a bunch of other breeds mutt Lucy who we rescued about 3 years ago. Lucy is up-to-date on her vaccines and gets along with everyone- human, canine, or otherwise. If your dog is not dog-friendly, Lucy loves to stay at her grandparents' house down the road; this is not a problem at all! Our apartment has 2 fenced-in dog runs that your dog could use as well as a riverfront trail for hikes. We also have a dog grooming room, so if you'd like, I can return your buddy freshly washed and fluffed! On a professional note, I have worked at the Humane Animal Rescue League (HAR) of Western PA for about 9 years now. At HAR, I am a certified S.T.A.R. (Socialization, Training, Activity, and Responsibility) dog trainer and walker. I volunteer at the HAR walking, feeding, playing with, cuddling, and teaching commands to the dogs. As a S.T.A.R. dog trainer, I work with dogs who need additional training in order to placed on the adoption floor. This could mean anything from teaching the dog settling techniques, potty training, etc. I love walking and playing with dogs most of all and am strong enough to handle the big pups! I also have experience with administering pills and insulin injections. I am comfortable with and enjoy working with all kinds of animals. Additionally, I have been pet-sitting for some of my clients for over 10 years. I can genuinely tell you that I love animals and would treat your pet like they were my own. Please message me with any questions, I can be flexible based on you and your pet's needs.
Reviews
Maria did such an amazing job! We have 2 cats with very different personalities. She was able to keep both happy and comfortable & even got our shy cat to trust her by the end of her visits. Very communicative & did everything we asked above & beyond ! Will definitely reach out to her for future sitting :)
Maria is a great sitter! She was very responsive and we received an update & picture of our pup everyday. She was also flexible with last minute pickup/dropoff changes, which was so helpful for us. Our dog looked happy in all the pictures with Maria - this is always such a relief to see. We would definitely book again next time we need a sitter.
Ori enjoyed being in Maria's care. The pictures sent show that she was happy and well cared for.
Maria took excellent care of our Jubilee! We could tell Jubilee was very comfortable around Maria and Lucy both and we will definitely be asking Maria to look after Jubilee in the future!

Information Maria N. would like to know about your pet
I'd like to know any medical conditions or medicines the dog needs. I don't have a problem with this, but a heads up would be good for both me and the dog. A basic rundown of the dog's schedule would be helpful to know too (when he/she eats, how often he/she needs to be let outside, etc.) I would also need to know if the dog is dog-aggressive or not. Once again, it doesn't matter either way, but a heads up is always helpful! >>>I do not discriminate against any breed!!<<< (my favorite breed is pit bull/ "bullies" in general and I HATE breed discrimination)
A typical day
Wherever you suggest and wherever your dog is most comfortable is fine by me. A nearby park or trail, around the neighborhood, a dog park if the dog is dog-friendly, etc. We would go on walks, play fetch, play some nose-work games, and apparently I give a great doggy massage.
