Taking care of your pet, just like our own, is a family affair. Especially for our children, it teaches responsibility amongst other things. We specialize in Husky and Husky-mixed breeds! For boarding Pets, we have: 1/2 acre of fenced in land that the dog can run and play (hopefully enjoying the company of mine), and a room we call the "dog room" which is a screened in sun room with sliding door to access for the house on the warmer days. Feeding schedule (2-3 times per day depending on requirement) and constant available fresh water. For Drop-In Care: My daughter is my assistant. She learns by working with me and earns part of whatever is paid. About this sitter: I am a middle aged mom of three with extensive experience with animals. We are home often and when not we take our own with us whenever possible. We homeschool our kids who help participate in the care of our own pets and those that come to temporarily be part of our family. Why I love dog sitting: I grew up with dogs all of my life. My family has had dogs of every breed from Irish Setters to wolf hybrids. My parents bred Irish Setters for a short time, and we forever had strays that were being taken in and found homes for. I have trained my own dog in basic obedience and started Service Dog training for additional control - all backed up by an experienced trainer. I am intending to extend my current college education into veterinarian assistant then further to Veterinarian medicine. Meet my pets: 7 year old female husky mix named Aurora who is often all too happy to show you she knows how to say her own name and how spoiled she really is. Nova is a husky mix as well that acquired from someone who was neglecting her. She came to us without even knowing basic commands and didn't 'talk' at all. Now she doesn't shut up. Seems like she is always smiling and loves everyone. 8 Sugar Gliders who are kept in their cage, separate from other animals. However on off times of the day are allowed to play in the "dog room" to get their jumping and gliding fun. One cat who doesn’t know he is a cat named Mau Einstein. He came to us before he was 3 weeks old and has learned how to face hug his favorite dog (Nova). About my yard: We have a HUGE back yard. It is fully enclosed and fenced in and approximately 1/2 acre of land. behind it is another 1/4 acre of land that is closed off from access and is for the rehab of Raptor Birds. My experience administering medication Yes. As a mom to children and furry family members as long as the instructions (dosage and timing) are provided, this is not an issue.
