Pet care experience
I have been raised in a family that professionally breeds and trains dogs. I have worked with and trained dogs to become pheasant and duck hunters for 8+ years. I have a strong background in working at an obedient school for dogs. I have my certification in dog training both for hunting obedience and house/city bound obedience. I have a very flexible schedule! The added company of a dog or cat would certainly help my passing time typing research papers as I am a Grad student. I am in a serious relationship with my boyfriend who is a firefighter for Seattle who I use as my emergency contact info for you in case something happens to me while you’re away. My only other obligations are my Grad school work and my research - which are both done via computer - so I will be able to stay with your furry family member every minute of every day if need be! I am an outdoor enthusiast and a retired competitive Power Lifter; I will ensure your dog/cat receives an unlimited number of opportunities to get active! I look forward to caring for your dog(s) or cat(s) and providing you with the security and reassurance you need to know they are in safe hands! (:

Maria was so kind, thoughtful and thorough. She treated our house with such respect and left it spotless when she left. We so enjoyed the morning and nightly videos of our animals. You can tell she really cared about them. She took our big dog to the dog park to run daily and she was so good about giving them the exercise they needed. We’d highly recommend Maria and will use her again in a heartbeat!
Maria was absolutely WONDERFUL with my very high-anxiety little dog! I got tons of update photos and videos, and Angus had a wonderful time. HIGHLY recommended!

A typical day
The dog(s) will go on a variety of walks around Lake Washington! They will also be brought to Magnuson dog park. I plan to take them on hikes and out to breweries! If your dog needs acreage to run, I have a family friend in Monroe that I take my dogs up to and run them for hours upon hours. If your dog needs to swim, I have access to a private access point into the Sound for swimming! If you dog just needs a long car ride, I have a full size 2019 SUV and I’ll drive them as far as Portland, OR and back with all the windows down! All of these activities, of course, are contingent upon your approval and what you are comfortable with.
