Hello ! I am Maria and I have both professional and personal experience with pets for well over 10 years! I graduated with an associates degree in Animal Care from Northshore Community in 2014, and had worked as a professional dog groomer at Petsmart for about 8 years. I recently decided to try to venture away from the corporate retail grooming, but my deep love and connection with animals is when I am feeling most fufilled. I’ve also spent time as Assistant Manager at a Loyal Companion store and while I loved using my knowledge about pet wellness to help Pet Parents navigate heathy choices for their fur babies. Grooming continues to be passion for me, but I am hoping to expand my skillset further and look to spend some professional time exploring the veterinary sphere and see what I can learn there ! I have been pet sitting for friends and family for many years and can provide reffernces upon request. At home I currently have an older cat Hannah(6) Scooter (5) and a bunny Howard (3) They are the silliest gang, and love spending time causing trouble around the house ! We recently lost our golden girl Clementine very unexpectedly over Christmas, and are missing her everyday.

Maria was amazing with our 10-week old puppy. We left him for a week because we had already had a trip planned. Her house is really nice and clean and she made him feel like part of the family. She gave him a lot of extra attention and sent us daily photo updates! Highly recommend!
I can’t say enough about Maria! She is so attentive to all our animal needs, we have dogs, a cat, bunnies and turtles. Maria is the only other person I trust to stay with my animals. She takes better care of my fur babies than I do! She is very focused on the safety and well being of all the animals. We appreciate all Maria did more than we can ever express!
I can’t picture a better sitter for my dog. Maria immediately bonded with my dog and they have been best friends ever since . She is always so flexible with her sitting schedule and is extremely passionate. If you are looking for a sitter who will treat your dog like your own or even do better this is the local pick!
Maria is THE DOG WHISPERER. She can handle my extremely anxious dogs with no problem at all- and they LOVE seeing her. I even say her name at home and they go crazy. I recommend her a thousand times over!

Each dog is very different, and they have their own temperments and quirks. Understanding these personality differences allow me to be able to create a fun experience for your pup, without putting them in an overwhelming/overstimulating situaiton. Important things I would want to make sure I know before sitting your pup: any incidents of leash agression, dog aggression, food aggression, or sensitivities to any enviornments, such as being around children or being anxious around cars/loud noises.
A typical day
It always depends on the dogs acticity level and age! I love being lazy while enjoying the outdoors, or being super active with hiking and swimming, especially on those hot sumer days!

I currently just stopped working as a groomer in order to pursue other animal related fields, excited for the next adventure. My daily schedule will include your average 8 hour workday, but with mornings and evenings open to meet the needs of my clients !
