Quality canine and feline care

Pet care experience

I am a seasoned canine and feline care professional. I worked for two years at a local Humane Society, and I continue to volunteer there. I help people make the best care decisions for their pets that they can. Let me help you do the same, and take excellent care of your pet family member. I have experience with all ages and sizes of dogs and cats. I have intermediate training experience, and I am willing to work with pets who have specific behavioral obstacles. I can help you understand your pet's behavior or find resources to do so. I also have experience with special needs pets, including administering medications, special grooming care, and emergency first aid. I have enjoyed caring for and getting to know many different kinds of animals and their families in my time as a pet care professional, and I look forward to get to know you and yours. (I also volunteer in wildlife rehabilitation, so I've posted a photo of a baby raccoon. I really love animals, and I spend a lot of time researching and learning to make sure I take excellent care of them.)

Maria was great! I booked her for 1 hour dog walk with my 3 pups and she came in early and brought her notebook to ask questions about them and was jotting down important notes. She knows a lot about dogs! which made me feel secure about her handling mine. She even gave me some recommendations for collars for one of my escape artists! I will be continuing to work with her from now on!

Okay where to begin... so i have no idea who the other reviews are from, they must not expect much because my experience was absolutely horryfying... so at first I thought the sitter was professional because she brought a notebook and took notes, thats why I decided to book after the meet and greet. Now, I can see that was all for show. Please keep in mind I myself am in the business of sitting, walking, boarding training, etc. So that being said I know what expectations clients have, mine were very straightforward. The sitter lacked communication for the first day and a half that I literally had to tell her to send updates and photos.. if it were not for my nanny cam I would have not knows how my dogs were doing because no updates or pictures were sent. After I had the conversation were I had to explain how to do her job, then I got a few pictures here and there. The worst part tho was that we both agreed on a time of my arrival, and when my bf and I where 3 hours away she complained that she is staying past the time limit.... which makes no sense because there is no time limit... the time limit is as we discussed previously....She kept acting as if she didn't want to be there and then I had her go home and had to hace a friend of mind check on my pets ... the dogs haven't been out in hours.... we are now rushing home to take them on a nice long walk because we feel as if they weren't let out or exercised properly. Normally I never leave long reviews but this one was necessary, go with anyone else!!!! This business is for dedicated, compassionate and reliable individuals. She lacked all these qualities.

Maria was amazing! She took great care of my 3 dogs and one is a handful to say the least. She stayed at our home and was very clean. Will definitely try to book her again if my dane didn't scare her away.

Maria is great. She took excellent care of my 2 dogs while I was away for a work trip. She sat for them in my home and everything went very well. This was my first time using Rover for house sitting in my own home and it was a great experience and such a relief knowing they were in her capable hands. I would highly recommend Maria as a sitter. I look forward to booking again!

Information Maria F. would like to know about your pet

I have no breed preference. My key questions are: Is the pet up to date on vaccines, especially the rabies vaccine? Who is the pet's veterinarian? How does your dog do with other dogs? Strangers? Children? Are they reactive to any simulation, including small creatures like cats or squirrels, cyclists, cars, buses, etc? Does the pet have any allergies?

A typical day

Dogs benefit physically, mentally and emotionally from experiencing new activities and new places as well. I make it a point to walk dogs in new places, to allow dogs the time to explore with their noses, and to ensure our dogs get their heart rates up for a consistent period of time. The perfect walk balances those elements while prioritizing safety, and I seek to deliver the perfect walk for every dog. Some dogs benefit from off leash exercise, and I'm pleased to offer that to dogs who need it. Some of our senior canine companions need a slower pace, and some muscle massage after a walk, and I can do that as well. Puppies have specific exercise, socialization, and enrichment, depending on their age and their vaccines. I can help make sure your puppy gets the care she needs Cats benefit from physical exercise as well as new textures, smells and sights in their environment. Cats are often independent creatures, but we can help them live their best loves through wellness care and by enriching their environment. If you're up for it, I can bring suggestions to your home for fantastic feline care.
