I'm originally from Florida, my boyfriend and I moved to Colorado in late November 2016. We lived in Highlands Ranch for our first 9 month here, then purchased our first home in Colorado Springs in September 2017. I’m currently working on my real estate license so my schedule is flexible. I absolutely love dogs, they're definitely my favorite animal! This job gives me the opportunity to play and spend time with all different kinds :) I have over 20 years of experience in dog care, I've had dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with 3 Jack Russell's, a shitzu and a couple of Chihuahuas. One of my mom's chihuahuas has an enlarged heart and needs to take Furosemide every 12 hours, so I am experienced and comfortable with giving oral meds. I currently have 5 dogs of my own; a bulldog mix, a shitzu/yorkie and 3 Chihuahuas. As you can tell I love dogs of all shapes and sizes. I've volunteered at a couple of animal shelters when I lived in Florida, have fostered a few dogs for them until they found a home, and I volunteered at the MaxFund shelter in Denver when I lived in that area. I'm always picking up strays or returning loose dogs to their owners if I see them running around alone, I hate seeing dogs in the street.. which is also why I have a stray that I saved off the streets of Lakewood in my house right now, he makes dog #6 in our home, and I’m begging my boyfriend to make him a permanent part of the pack. Yes, I said we have 6 dogs in the house right now, thank God for having a fenced yard! 5 out of 6 are under 15 pounds, so it’s not bad at all! Because I've worked with so many shelter dogs, I'm used to dogs who are skiddish and afraid. If your dog is like this, I don't mind coming over a couple of times before you leave town so they can get to know me. When I stop by while you're gone, I'll spend as much time as necessary hanging out, baby talking, and bribing with treats until they're comfortable with me. I promise your pooch will be spoiled and happy with me watching over them! Making sure your pup is happy and comfortable is my top priority. If you're going out of town and have me check in on your pup, I'll make sure I stick to their normal schedule and routine so they hardly notice that you're gone!
