I have worked in multiple shelters and doggy day cares/boarding facilities. I was a Senior Kennel Tech in the most recent Doggy Day Care I worked for, I administered medications, prepared food (we had over 100 dogs at a time, so we had an insane amount of different types of food/ways they were prepared). I also would monitor group play, sometimes upwards of 80 big dogs (35 lbs+). We also had small dogs there too, it was so fun hanging out with all of them, they all have such huge personalities. At the shelters my main duty was just warm up any timid dogs to people, I would also do the same with troubled cats. It was very hard seeing animals like that but it was beyond amazing seeing the animals breakthroughs.
